WARNING: lib/refcount.c:28 at refcount_warn_saturate+0x138/0x1a0, CPU#3: kworker/u17:4/93400
The issue is caused by a race condition between retransmit_timer() and
rxe_destroy_qp, leading to the Queue Pair's (QP) reference count dropping
to zero during timer handler execution.
It seems this warning is harmless because rxe_qp_do_cleanup() will flush
all pending timers and requests.
Example of flow causing the issue:
CPU0 CPU1
retransmit_timer() {
spin_lock_irqsave
rxe_destroy_qp()
__rxe_cleanup()
__rxe_put() // qp->ref_count decrease to 0
rxe_qp_do_cleanup() {
if (qp->valid) {
rxe_sched_task() {
WARN_ON(rxe_read(task->qp) <= 0);
}
}
spin_unlock_irqrestore
}
spin_lock_irqsave
qp->valid = 0
spin_unlock_irqrestore
}
Ensure the QP's reference count is maintained and its validity is checked
within the timer callbacks by adding calls to rxe_get(qp) and corresponding
rxe_put(qp) after use. |

drm/amdgpu: Refactor amdgpu_gem_va_ioctl for Handling Last Fence Update and Timeline Management v4
This commit simplifies the amdgpu_gem_va_ioctl function, key updates
include:
- Moved the logic for managing the last update fence directly into
amdgpu_gem_va_update_vm.
- Introduced checks for the timeline point to enable conditional
replacement or addition of fences.
v2: Addressed review comments from Christian.
v3: Updated comments (Christian).
v4: The previous version selected the fence too early and did not manage its
reference correctly, which could lead to stale or freed fences being used.
This resulted in refcount underflows and could crash when updating GPU
timelines.
The fence is now chosen only after the VA mapping work is completed, and its
reference is taken safely. After exporting it to the VM timeline syncobj, the
driver always drops its local fence reference, ensuring balanced refcounting
and avoiding use-after-free on dma_fence.
Crash signature:

[ 206.555667] Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception in interrupt |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/umem: Fix double dma_buf_unpin in failure path
In ib_umem_dmabuf_get_pinned_with_dma_device(), the call to
ib_umem_dmabuf_map_pages() can fail. If this occurs, the dmabuf
is immediately unpinned but the umem_dmabuf->pinned flag is still
set. Then, when ib_umem_release() is called, it calls
ib_umem_dmabuf_revoke() which will call dma_buf_unpin() again.
Fix this by removing the immediate unpin upon failure and just let
the ib_umem_release/revoke path handle it. This also ensures the
proper unmap-unpin unwind ordering if the dmabuf_map_pages call
happened to fail due to dma_resv_wait_timeout (and therefore has
a non-NULL umem_dmabuf->sgt). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
rxrpc: Only put the call ref if one was acquired
rxrpc_input_packet_on_conn() can process a to-client packet after the
current client call on the channel has already been torn down. In that
case chan->call is NULL, rxrpc_try_get_call() returns NULL and there is
no reference to drop.
The client-side implicit-end error path does not account for that and
unconditionally calls rxrpc_put_call(). This turns a protocol error
path into a kernel crash instead of rejecting the packet.
Only drop the call reference if one was actually acquired. Keep the
existing protocol error handling unchanged. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/smc: fix double-free of smc_spd_priv when tee() duplicates splice pipe buffer
smc_rx_splice() allocates one smc_spd_priv per pipe_buffer and stores
the pointer in pipe_buffer.private. The pipe_buf_operations for these
buffers used .get = generic_pipe_buf_get, which only increments the page
reference count when tee(2) duplicates a pipe buffer. The smc_spd_priv
pointer itself was not handled, so after tee() both the original and the
cloned pipe_buffer share the same smc_spd_priv *.
When both pipes are subsequently released, smc_rx_pipe_buf_release() is
called twice against the same object:
1st call: kfree(priv) sock_put(sk) smc_rx_update_cons() [correct]
2nd call: kfree(priv) sock_put(sk) smc_rx_update_cons() [UAF]
KASAN reports a slab-use-after-free in smc_rx_pipe_buf_release(), which
then escalates to a NULL-pointer dereference and kernel panic via
smc_rx_update_consumer() when it chases the freed priv->smc pointer:

Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception
Beyond the memory-safety problem, duplicating an SMC splice buffer is
semantically questionable: smc_rx_update_cons() would advance the
consumer cursor twice for the same data, corrupting receive-window
accounting. A refcount on smc_spd_priv could fix the double-free, but
the cursor-accounting issue would still need to be addressed separately.
The .get callback is invoked by both tee(2) and splice_pipe_to_pipe()
for partial transfers; both will now return -EFAULT. Users who need
to duplicate SMC socket data must use a copy-based read path. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
virtio_net: Fix UAF on dst_ops when IFF_XMIT_DST_RELEASE is cleared and napi_tx is false
A UAF issue occurs when the virtio_net driver is configured with napi_tx=N
and the device's IFF_XMIT_DST_RELEASE flag is cleared
(e.g., during the configuration of tc route filter rules).
When IFF_XMIT_DST_RELEASE is removed from the net_device, the network stack
expects the driver to hold the reference to skb->dst until the packet
is fully transmitted and freed. In virtio_net with napi_tx=N,
skbs may remain in the virtio transmit ring for an extended period.
If the network namespace is destroyed while these skbs are still pending,
the corresponding dst_ops structure has freed. When a subsequent packet
is transmitted, free_old_xmit() is triggered to clean up old skbs.
It then calls dst_release() on the skb associated with the stale dst_entry.
Since the dst_ops (referenced by the dst_entry) has already been freed,
a UAF kernel paging request occurs.
fix it by adds skb_dst_drop(skb) in start_xmit to explicitly release
the dst reference before the skb is queued in virtio_net.

| SparkyFitness is a self-hosted, AI-powered health and fitness tracker for families. Prior to 1.6.0, SparkyFitnessServer/services/chatService.ts and SparkyFitnessServer/services/labelScanService.ts do not validate destinations supplied in custom AI service settings. An authenticated user saves a custom AI service URL and invokes an affected AI flow. The user can save a custom AI service URL and trigger an outbound request. Successful exploitation can send server-side POST requests with a controlled bearer value, probe internal services, and disclose the AI system prompt. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.0. |
| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 3.5.1, 3.6.2, 3.7.2, 3.8.2 and 3.9.1, the @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend package is affected by improper url validation in catalog entity placeholder resolution. An authenticated Backstage user could craft a catalog entity with placeholder directives that reference resources outside the entity's source repository. Under certain configurations, this could allow access to data not intended to be available to the user. This issue is fixed in versions 3.5.1, 3.6.2, 3.7.2, 3.8.2 and 3.9.1. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: SCO: Fix use-after-free in sco_recv_frame() due to missing sock_hold
sco_recv_frame() reads conn->sk under sco_conn_lock() but immediately
releases the lock without holding a reference to the socket. A concurrent
close() can free the socket between the lock release and the subsequent
sk->sk_state access, resulting in a use-after-free.
Other functions in the same file (sco_sock_timeout(), sco_conn_del())
correctly use sco_sock_hold() to safely hold a reference under the lock.
Fix by using sco_sock_hold() to take a reference before releasing the
lock, and adding sock_put() on all exit paths. |

netfilter: ctnetlink: fix use-after-free in ctnetlink_dump_exp_ct()
ctnetlink_dump_exp_ct() stores a conntrack pointer in cb->data for the
netlink dump callback ctnetlink_exp_ct_dump_table(), but drops the
conntrack reference immediately after netlink_dump_start(). When the
dump spans multiple rounds, the second recvmsg() triggers the dump
callback which dereferences the now-freed conntrack via nfct_help(ct),
leading to a use-after-free on ct->ext.
The bug is that the netlink_dump_control has no .start or .done
callbacks to manage the conntrack reference across dump rounds. Other
dump functions in the same file (e.g. ctnetlink_get_conntrack) properly
use .start/.done callbacks for this purpose.
Fix this by adding .start and .done callbacks that hold and release the
conntrack reference for the duration of the dump, and move the
nfct_help() call after the cb->args[0] early-return check in the dump
callback to avoid dereferencing ct->ext unnecessarily.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tls: Purge async_hold in tls_decrypt_async_wait()
The async_hold queue pins encrypted input skbs while
the AEAD engine references their scatterlist data. Once
tls_decrypt_async_wait() returns, every AEAD operation
has completed and the engine no longer references those
skbs, so they can be freed unconditionally.
A subsequent patch adds batch async decryption to
tls_sw_read_sock(), introducing a new call site that
must drain pending AEAD operations and release held
skbs. Move __skb_queue_purge(&ctx->async_hold) into
tls_decrypt_async_wait() so the purge is centralized
and every caller -- recvmsg's drain path, the -EBUSY
fallback in tls_do_decryption(), and the new read_sock
batch path -- releases held skbs on synchronization
without each site managing the purge independently.
This fixes a leak when tls_strp_msg_hold() fails part-way through,
after having added some cloned skbs to the async_hold
queue. tls_decrypt_sg() will then call tls_decrypt_async_wait() to
process all pending decrypts, and drop back to synchronous mode, but
tls_sw_recvmsg() only flushes the async_hold queue when one record has
been processed in "fully-async" mode, which may not be the case here.

clsact: Fix use-after-free in init/destroy rollback asymmetry
Fix a use-after-free in the clsact qdisc upon init/destroy rollback asymmetry.
The latter is achieved by first fully initializing a clsact instance, and
then in a second step having a replacement failure for the new clsact qdisc
instance. clsact_init() initializes ingress first and then takes care of the
egress part. This can fail midway, for example, via tcf_block_get_ext(). Upon
failure, the kernel will trigger the clsact_destroy() callback.
Commit 1cb6f0bae504 ("bpf: Fix too early release of tcx_entry") details the
way how the transition is happening. If tcf_block_get_ext on the q->ingress_block
ends up failing, we took the tcx_miniq_inc reference count on the ingress
side, but not yet on the egress side. clsact_destroy() tests whether the
{ingress,egress}_entry was non-NULL. However, even in midway failure on the
replacement, both are in fact non-NULL with a valid egress_entry from the
previous clsact instance.
What we really need to test for is whether the qdisc instance-specific ingress
or egress side previously got initialized. This adds a small helper for checking
the miniq initialization called mini_qdisc_pair_inited, and utilizes that upon
clsact_destroy() in order to fix the use-after-free scenario. Convert the
ingress_destroy() side as well so both are consistent to each other. |
| Adobe Experience Manager is affected by an XML Injection (aka Blind XPath Injection) vulnerability that could result in a Security feature bypass. A low-privileged attacker could leverage this vulnerability to bypass security measures and gain unauthorized read and limited write access. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction. |
| A server-side request forgery flaw was found in the Ansible Automation Platform
automation-controller email notification backend. The email backend passes the user-supplied SMTP
host and port from a notification template directly to the SMTP client without validating that
the target is not an internal, loopback, link-local, or reserved address. An authenticated user
with organization notification-admin permission can create or modify an email notification
template pointing at an arbitrary internal address, trigger a test, and have the controller task
process open a raw TCP connection to that address. The resulting connection error is reflected
back through the notification record, providing a three-state internal port-scan oracle (open,
closed, filtered) over the control-plane's cluster network, including the in-cluster Kubernetes
API. When a shared organization template holds a stored SMTP password, redirecting the host can
also cause that credential to be transmitted to an attacker-controlled server. |
| Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) reported in the ticket sales chart PDF export functionality of Wegow. According to the report, an authenticated user with a promoter account can manipulate the <svg> parameter of the POST request generated by selecting Download PDF. The content is processed by the export.highcharts.com service, which sends HTTP requests to attacker-controlled external resources and embeds their responses in the generated PDF. The reported behavior allows the export service to be used as an intermediary for these requests. |
| Affected Linux-based Progress MarkLogic Server 12.x releases before 12.1.0 and 11.x releases before 11.3.7 contain a server-side request forgery vulnerability that could allow an authenticated attacker to access internal cloud services, potentially resulting in unauthorized access to cloud credentials. |
| Progress MarkLogic Server 12.x releases before 12.1.0 and 11.x releases before 11.3.7 on Azure contain a server-side request forgery vulnerability that could allow an authenticated attacker to access internal cloud services, potentially resulting in unauthorized access to cloud credentials or tokens. |
| Web3.py 7.15.0 through 7.16.0 and 8.0.0b2 through 8.0.0 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability because _check_ip_blocked() does not unwrap IPv4-mapped IPv6 addresses in CCIP Read URL validation. Malicious contracts can return OffchainLookup URLs with IPv4-mapped IPv6 hosts or AAAA records, making clients with CCIP Read enabled send requests to loopback, private, or link-local services. |
| Progress MarkLogic Server 12.x releases before 12.1.0 and 11.x releases before 11.3.7 include deprecated OpsDirector functionality with weaknesses that could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to make unauthorized requests to internal services or forge trusted requests, potentially resulting in unauthorized access to protected information. |
