CVE-2025-38232 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSD: fix race between nfsd registration and exports_proc As of now nfsd calls create_proc_exports_entry() at start of init_nfsd and cleanup by remove_proc_entry() at last of exit_nfsd. CVE-2025-21938 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: fix 'scheduling while atomic' in mptcp_pm_nl_append_new_local_addr If multiple connection requests attempt to create an implicit mptcp endpoint in parallel, more than one caller may end up in mptcp_pm_nl_append_new_local_addr because none found the address in local_addr_list during their call to mptcp_pm_nl_get_local_id. In this case, the concurrent new_local_addr calls may delete the address entry created by the previous caller. These deletes use synchronize_rcu, but this is not permitted in some of the contexts where this function may be called. During packet recv, the caller may be in a rcu read critical section and have preemption disabled. An example stack: BUG: scheduling while atomic: swapper/2/0/0x00000302 Call Trace: <IRQ> dump_stack_lvl (lib/dump_stack.c:117 (discriminator 1)) dump_stack (lib/dump_stack.c:124) __schedule_bug (kernel/sched/core.c:5943) schedule_debug.constprop.0 (arch/x86/include/asm/preempt.h:33 kernel/sched/core.c:5970) __schedule (arch/x86/include/asm/jump_label.h:27 include/linux/jump_label.h:207 kernel/sched/features.h:29 kernel/sched/core.c:6621) schedule (arch/x86/include/asm/preempt.h:84 kernel/sched/core.c:6804 kernel/sched/core.c:6818) schedule_timeout (kernel/time/timer.c:2160) wait_for_completion (kernel/sched/completion.c:96 kernel/sched/completion.c:116 kernel/sched/completion.c:127 kernel/sched/completion.c:148) __wait_rcu_gp (include/linux/rcupdate.h:311 kernel/rcu/update.c:444) synchronize_rcu (kernel/rcu/tree.c:3609) mptcp_pm_nl_append_new_local_addr (net/mptcp/pm_netlink.c:966 net/mptcp/pm_netlink.c:1061) mptcp_pm_nl_get_local_id (net/mptcp/pm_netlink.c:1164) mptcp_pm_get_local_id (net/mptcp/pm.c:420) subflow_check_req (net/mptcp/subflow.c:98 net/mptcp/subflow.c:213) subflow_v4_route_req (net/mptcp/subflow.c:305) tcp_conn_request (net/ipv4/tcp_input.c:7216) subflow_v4_conn_request (net/mptcp/subflow.c:651) tcp_rcv_state_process (net/ipv4/tcp_input.c:6709) tcp_v4_do_rcv (net/ipv4/tcp_ipv4.c:1934) tcp_v4_rcv (net/ipv4/tcp_ipv4.c:2334) ip_protocol_deliver_rcu (net/ipv4/ip_input.c:205 (discriminator 1)) ip_local_deliver_finish (include/linux/rcupdate.h:813 net/ipv4/ip_input.c:234) ip_local_deliver (include/linux/netfilter.h:314 include/linux/netfilter.h:308 net/ipv4/ip_input.c:254) ip_sublist_rcv_finish (include/net/dst.h:461 net/ipv4/ip_input.c:580) ip_sublist_rcv (net/ipv4/ip_input.c:640) ip_list_rcv (net/ipv4/ip_input.c:675) __netif_receive_skb_list_core (net/core/dev.c:5583 net/core/dev.c:5631) netif_receive_skb_list_internal (net/core/dev.c:5685 net/core/dev.c:5774) napi_complete_done (include/linux/list.h:37 include/net/gro.h:449 include/net/gro.h:444 net/core/dev.c:6114) igb_poll (drivers/net/ethernet/intel/igb/igb_main.c:8244) igb __napi_poll (net/core/dev.c:6582) net_rx_action (net/core/dev.c:6653 net/core/dev.c:6787) handle_softirqs (kernel/softirq.c:553) __irq_exit_rcu (kernel/softirq.c:588 kernel/softirq.c:427 kernel/softirq.c:636) irq_exit_rcu (kernel/softirq.c:651) common_interrupt (arch/x86/kernel/irq.c:247 (discriminator 14)) </IRQ> This problem seems particularly prevalent if the user advertises an endpoint that has a different external vs internal address. In the case where the external address is advertised and multiple connections already exist, multiple subflow SYNs arrive in parallel which tends to trigger the race during creation of the first local_addr_list entries which have the internal address instead. Fix by skipping the replacement of an existing implicit local address if called via mptcp_pm_nl_get_local_id.

CVE-2025-21655 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/eventfd: ensure io_eventfd_signal() defers another RCU period io_eventfd_do_signal() is invoked from an RCU callback, but when dropping the reference to the io_ev_fd, it calls io_eventfd_free() directly if the refcount drops to zero. This isn't correct, as any potential freeing of the io_ev_fd should be deferred another RCU grace period. Just call io_eventfd_put() rather than open-code the dec-and-test and free, which will correctly defer it another RCU grace period.

(2) Allocate a buffer based on the returned length. (3) Then, perform the actual string formatting. (4) Check whether the lengths of the formatted strings returned in steps (1) and (2) are consistent. If the core_cpumask is modified between steps (1) and (3), the lengths obtained in these two steps may not match. Indeed our test includes cpu hotplugging, which should modify core_cpumask while printing. To fix this issue, cache the cpumask into a temporary variable before calling cpumap_print_{list, cpumask}_to_buf(), to keep it unchanged during the printing process.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: Fix uninit-value access in __ip_make_skb() KMSAN reported uninit-value access in __ip_make_skb() [1]. __ip_make_skb() tests HDRINCL to know if the skb has icmphdr. However, HDRINCL can cause a race condition. If calling setsockopt(2) with IP_HDRINCL changes HDRINCL while __ip_make_skb() is running, the function will access icmphdr in the skb even if it is not included. This causes the issue reported by KMSAN. Check FLOWI_FLAG_KNOWN_NH on fl4->flowi4_flags instead of testing HDRINCL on the socket. Also, fl4->fl4_icmp_type and fl4->fl4_icmp_code are not initialized. These are union in struct flowi4 and are implicitly initialized by flowi4_init_output(), but we should not rely on specific union layout. Initialize these explicitly in raw_sendmsg(). CVE-2024-35809 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 4 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI/PM: Drain runtime-idle callbacks before driver removal A race condition between the .runtime_idle() callback and the .remove() callback in the rtsx_pcr PCI driver leads to a kernel crash due to an unhandled page fault [1]. The problem is that rtsx_pci_runtime_idle() is not expected to be running after pm_runtime_get_sync() has been called, but the latter doesn't really guarantee that. It only guarantees that the suspend and resume callbacks will not be running when it returns. However, if a .runtime_idle() callback is already running when pm_runtime_get_sync() is called, the latter will notice that the runtime PM status of the device is RPM_ACTIVE and it will return right away without waiting for the former to complete. In fact, it cannot wait for .runtime_idle() to complete because it may be called from that callback (it arguably does not make much sense to do that, but it is not strictly prohibited). Thus in general, whoever is providing a .runtime_idle() callback needs to protect it from running in parallel with whatever code runs after pm_runtime_get_sync(). [Note that .runtime_idle() will not start after pm_runtime_get_sync() has returned, but it may continue running then if it has started earlier.] One way to address that race condition is to call pm_runtime_barrier() after pm_runtime_get_sync() (not before it, because a nonzero value of the runtime PM usage counter is necessary to prevent runtime PM callbacks from being invoked) to wait for the .runtime_idle() callback to complete should it be running at that point. A suitable place for doing that is in pci_device_remove() which calls pm_runtime_get_sync() before removing the driver, so it may as well call pm_runtime_barrier() subsequently, which will prevent the race in question from occurring, not just in the rtsx_pcr driver, but in any PCI drivers providing .runtime_idle() callbacks.

This issue can be reproduced by running the following test in loop, and fio hang can be observed in < 30min when running it on my test VM in laptop. modprobe -r scsi_debug modprobe scsi_debug delay=0 dev_size_mb=4096 max_queue=1 host_max_queue=1 submit_queues=4 dev=`ls -d /sys/bus/pseudo/drivers/scsi_debug/adapter*/host*/target*/*/block/* | head -1 | xargs basename` fio --filename=/dev/"$dev" --direct=1 --rw=randrw --bs=4k --iodepth=1 \ --runtime=100 --numjobs=40 --time_based --name=test \ --ioengine=libaio Fix the issue by adding one explicit barrier in blk_mq_mark_tag_wait(), which is just fine in case of running out of tag.

Race condition, use-after-free in the Graphics: CanvasWebGL component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 158, Firefox ESR 115.43, Firefox ESR 153.5, Thunderbird 158, and Thunderbird 153.5.
CVE-2026-19936 1 Zephyrproject 1 Zephyr 2026-10-14 4.8 Medium
The Bluetooth Mesh Access-layer delayable message queue in subsys/bluetooth/mesh/delayable_msg.c shares three intrusive lists (busy_ctx, free_ctx, free_chunks) and one k_work_delayable between two cooperative threads with no synchronization: bt_mesh_delayable_msg_manage() runs on the Bluetooth host RX thread, while delayable_msg_handler() runs on the system workqueue. Both block while the lists are in an intermediate state — the enqueuer in bt_rand(), both in bt_mesh_access_send() — which lets the other context observe torn state. delayable_msg_handler() used the result of sys_slist_get() on busy_ctx without a NULL check, and allocate_delayable_msg_ctx() tested sys_slist_is_empty() and then assumed a separate sys_slist_get() would succeed. Because CONFIG_BT_MESH_ACCESS_DELAYABLE_MSG and CONFIG_BT_MESH_ACCESS_DELAYABLE_MSG_CTX_ENABLED default to y, every model response to a received mesh message is parked on this queue, so the enqueuer runs as a direct consequence of inbound traffic. A peer that can get access-layer messages accepted by a model (it must hold the NetKey and a bound AppKey, so a legitimate or compromised network member) controls the arrival rate, the size of the elicited responses and the destination address, and thereby controls occupancy of the 4-entry context pool and the 40-entry chunk pool. Exhausting the chunk pool forces bt_mesh_delayable_msg_manage() down the purge path, which sends and releases the only queued message and leaves busy_ctx empty while the delayable work item is still armed; if the enqueuer then yields, the handler runs against the empty list. The result is a read-modify-write through a NULL-based pointer (pending_msg->fired_time += 10) at a fixed low address on the system workqueue thread. On typical targets that faults, aborting the system workqueue thread — which stops all workqueue-driven functionality, including the mesh timing machinery — or resetting the node, so the impact is loss of availability of the affected node. The write value and address are fixed and no attacker-controlled length or index is involved, so this is not exploitable for memory corruption or code execution. The same unsynchronized window also allowed one message context to be selected and released by two contexts at once, producing duplicated transmissions, duplicated send-completion callbacks and crossed chunk ownership. The fix serializes every list mutation with a k_spinlock that is never held across a blocking call, makes push_msg_from_delayable_msgs() detach the queue head atomically so a message being sent is on no list, removes the unchecked sys_slist_get() from delayable_msg_handler(), and drops any message that reaches the front of the queue while the stack is suspended or reset.
CVE-2026-94584 2 Broadcom, Brocade 2 Fabric Operating System, Fabric Os 2026-10-14 2.6 Low
A race condition and thread-safety vulnerability exists in the web management daemon of Brocade Fabric OS versions before 10.0.1. When handling user authentication requests across a multi-threaded execution pool, this race condition causes PAM modules to process stale or incorrect client IP addresses and switch context numbers. This leads to inaccurate audit records and potential access control bypasses where AAA evaluation or Calling-Station-ID ACL policies rely on client IP attributes.
CVE-2022-41850 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-14 4.7 Medium
roccat_report_event in drivers/hid/hid-roccat.c in the Linux kernel through 5.19.12 has a race condition and resultant use-after-free in certain situations where a report is received while copying a report->value is in progress.
CVE-2022-41849 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-14 4.2 Medium
drivers/video/fbdev/smscufx.c in the Linux kernel through 5.19.12 has a race condition and resultant use-after-free if a physically proximate attacker removes a USB device while calling open(), aka a race condition between ufx_ops_open and ufx_usb_disconnect.
CVE-2022-40307 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-14 4.7 Medium
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 5.19.8. drivers/firmware/efi/capsule-loader.c has a race condition with a resultant use-after-free.
CVE-2022-39188 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 5 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 2 more 2026-10-14 4.7 Medium
An issue was discovered in include/asm-generic/tlb.h in the Linux kernel before 5.19. Because of a race condition (unmap_mapping_range versus munmap), a device driver can free a page while it still has stale TLB entries. This only occurs in situations with VM_PFNMAP VMAs.
