CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ALSA: firewire-motu: add bounds check in put_user loop for DSP events
In the DSP event handling code, a put_user() loop copies event data.
When the user buffer size is not aligned to 4 bytes, it could overwrite
beyond the buffer boundary.
Fix by adding a bounds check before put_user(). |
| Television (tv) 0.15.0 through 0.15.9 contains an OS command injection vulnerability that allows attackers to run shell commands through improperly escaped single quotes in format_command. Attackers can plant a file with a crafted name containing an apostrophe so that triggering an action like the default edit action executes commands with victim privileges. |
| Camunda 7.24.0 before 7.24.14 and 7.23.0 before 7.23.17 contains an expression injection vulnerability where AdhocQueryValidator.validate() fails to check sub-query expression maps within the orQueries field exposed by TaskQueryDto, allowing authenticated users to bypass the enableExpressionsInAdhocQueries restriction. Attackers can supply a malicious JUEL expression such as dueAfterExpression inside an orQueries entry to achieve arbitrary Java reflection and invoke java.lang.Runtime.exec, resulting in operating-system command execution as the engine service user. |
| libtta through 2.3 contains a stack out-of-bounds read and write vulnerability in tta_decoder_process_stream() and tta_decoder_process_frame() because header checks never reject a zero channel count. Attackers can supply a crafted .tta file declaring zero channels so decorrelation accesses cache[-1] with stream-derived values, corrupting stack memory in decoding applications. |
| FreeRDP versions from 2.0.0 before 3.32.0 contain a heap out-of-bounds write in the server hash-callback NTLM path that fails to validate the MIC offset. Unauthenticated attackers can send a crafted AUTHENTICATE_MESSAGE with a backward session-key offset and MIC offset to write 16 zero bytes beyond the allocation. |
| ZoneMinder is a free, open source closed-circuit television software application. Prior to 1.38.3, downloadEvents() manually wraps a monitor Name value in single quotes instead of using escapeshellarg() before placing it in shell commands when a user with monitor-create or monitor-edit permission stores a monitor Name containing shell metacharacters and a user with Events View permission exports that monitor's events. In this attack mechanism, the stored monitor Name reaches both the ffmpeg concatenation command and the tar or zip archive command and breaks out of manual quoting. Arbitrary commands execute as the web server user. This issue is fixed in version 1.38.3. |
| ZoneMinder is a free, open source closed-circuit television software application. Prior to 1.38.3, the exportEvents() function concatenates the attacker-controlled exportFile request parameter into a shell command without neutralizing shell metacharacters when an authenticated user with View Events or View Snapshots permission submits an event export request with a crafted exportFile value, a valid CSRF token, and exportDetail enabled. The affected components are exportEvents(), exportFile, web/ajax/event.php, web/skins/classic/includes/export_functions.php. In this attack mechanism, the crafted exportFile value reaches the trailing directory argument of a tar or zip command executed by exec(). The attacker can execute arbitrary operating system commands as the web server user. This issue is fixed in version 1.38.3. |
| Out-of-bounds write in Windows EAPHost Service allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: mac80211: validate TX status rate metadata
minstrel_ht_tx_status() converts the HT/VHT rate reported in a TX status
into a group and rate index and uses those to index the minstrel_ht rate
tables. The existing validation only checked that an entry was present
and had tries recorded; it did not check that the reported MCS, spatial
stream count and bandwidth are representable by the tables, so malformed
metadata passed to minstrel_ht_get_stats() or
minstrel_ht_ri_get_stats() could be used as an out-of-bounds index.
Validate the rate metadata in the common TX status path instead of only
in minstrel_ht, since the values are used by more than rate control.
The legacy ieee80211_tx_rate array and the rate_info based entries are
sanitized in ieee80211_tx_status_ext() and ieee80211_tx_rate_update()
before any consumer runs: an entry that does not describe a valid rate
for its encoding is dropped. minstrel_ht keeps the checks that depend
on its own tables, i.e. the supported number of spatial streams, the MCS
group size and the supported bandwidths.
This does not take away the driver's responsibility to report sane
values, it only prevents a single bad report from corrupting mac80211
state. No WARN_ON() is added: with panic_on_warn a driver bug would
otherwise turn into a denial of service. |
| Dimension is affected by an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. |
| MultiTail is a utility for monitoring multiple log files in one terminal. In version 7.1.5 and earlier, the -ex and -eX execute-on-match feature appended attacker-controlled matched input to a configured command inside double quotes, then check_filter_exec() in mt.c passed the constructed command through execute_program() in exec.c to sh -c. Partial escaping left shell metacharacters such as command substitution active, allowing an attacker who could influence monitored input to execute commands as the user running MultiTail. No fixed release is available as of this review. |
| The Okta Credential Provider for Windows does not validate a serialized credential buffer before interpreting it as a Kerberos logon structure. The buffer size and packed string offsets are not checked. Processing a malformed buffer can cause the credential provider process to terminate unexpectedly or lead to out-of-bounds memory reads and writes, which may result in the disclosure of adjacent process memory into local system logs. |
| office-converter through 1.0.2 contains an OS command injection vulnerability that allows attackers to execute commands by supplying a crafted fileName to generatePdf() or generateHtml(). Attackers can embed $(...), backticks, or a closing quote with shell metacharacters in the file name, which is concatenated into an unoconv command run via child_process.exec(), executing commands with Node.js process privileges. |
| OW2 ASM 5.0 before 9.11 contains an excessive memory allocation vulnerability in ClassReader.readBootstrapMethodsAttribute() that sizes an int array from num_bootstrap_methods without validating attribute_length. Attackers can supply a crafted class file of about 100 bytes that forces roughly 2 GB allocation, causing an OutOfMemoryError that crashes the JVM or consuming thread. |
| OW2 ASM 3.0 before 9.11 contains an excessive memory allocation vulnerability in Label.addSubroutineRetSuccessors() that fails to enforce the single-RET-per-JSR rule. Attackers can supply a crafted invalid class file with multiple RET instructions for one JSR, triggering a roughly 2 GB allocation that crashes the JVM. |
| webp-converter before 3.0.0 contains an OS command injection vulnerability in src/webpconverter.js helpers that run libwebp binaries via execFile with shell enabled. Attackers controlling file names or option strings passed to cwebp, dwebp, gwebp, or webpmux functions can inject shell metacharacters to execute OS commands as the Node.js process. |
| buildebooks before 0.2.2 contains an OS command injection vulnerability in lib/kindle.js that allows attackers to execute commands by supplying a crafted EPUB file name passed to kindlegen via child_process.exec. Attackers can craft a book project with a malicious front-matter filename or project folder name and kindle: true to execute OS commands as the user running buildebooks. |
| doc-recog through 1.1.6 contains an OS command injection vulnerability that allows attackers to execute commands by supplying crafted document paths to recog() or tag(). Attackers can embed $(...) or backtick command substitution in the file path, which DocData._readPDF passes to a shell-based pdftotext exec call, running commands with Node.js process privileges. |
| Whisper-node through 1.1.1 contains an OS command injection vulnerability that allows attackers to execute commands by supplying crafted filePath or whisperOptions.language values to whisper(). Attackers can inject shell metacharacters or $() substitution into the command string built by createCppCommand() and run via shelljs exec() to execute commands with Node.js process privileges. |
| transcribe2texts through 1.0.6 contains an OS command injection vulnerability that allows attackers to execute commands by supplying crafted audioPath values to transcribeAudio(). Attackers can inject $() or backtick substitution or a closing quote into the unescaped path passed to child_process.exec() to run commands with Node.js process privileges. |
