| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: SVM: Preserve TLB control (i.e. pending TLB flush) on failed VMRUN
Don't reset the VMCB's TLB control back to "do nothing" on a failed VMRUN,
as empirical testing shows that the CPU performs the requested TLB flush if
and only if VMRUN is successful, i.e. clearing TLB control on a failed
VMRUN effectively drops a TLB flush.
Explicitly track the need to flush all ASIDs on a per-CPU basis, as the
ASID reuse condition is tied to the pCPU, not to the vCPU. As a bonus,
this also obviates the need to avoid clobbering FLUSH_ALL_ASID with
TLB_CONTROL_FLUSH_ASID, e.g. in svm_flush_tlb_asid().
Deliberately don't bother saving/restoring the "old" tlb_ctl on failure,
in quotes because it's not exactly the old tlb_ctl, it's the tlb_ctl from
after pre_svm_run(), but before updating tlb_ctl for flush_all_asids. If
VMRUN fails and TLB_CONTROL_FLUSH_ALL_ASID is forced, then the next
successful run of the VMCB *may* unnecessarily flush all ASIDs, which
strictly speaking could result in noisy neighbor issues. However, the
fact that new_asid() is already guest-triggerable, because of KVM's flawed
behavior of clearing the ASID on emulated INIT, means that a guest can
already trigger a flush of all ASIDs at roughly the same rate. And once
KVM stops clobbering the ASID on emulated INIT, *or* assigns a static ASID
to each vCPU, this flaw goes away. |
| As part of Cisco's ongoing commitment to proactive security and product quality, the Cisco owned Open Source Snort 3 Software engineering team has conducted a comprehensive internal security review. This review resulted in software hardening releases that address multiple internally discovered vulnerabilities.
The vulnerabilities tracked by CVE-2026-20356 are related to issues concerning uncontrolled resource consumption that are grouped under the Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE) Base CWE-400. |
| Mistune before 3.3.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the Include directive that allows attackers to read arbitrary files by supplying ../ sequences in include paths. Attackers can also inject HTML through unescaped error messages and included file contents to perform cross-site scripting even when escape=True is set. |
| Vulnerability in the Oracle Solaris product of Oracle Systems (component: Kernel). The supported version that is affected is 11.4. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Solaris. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of Oracle Solaris. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.5 (Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: SEV: Do cache maintenance on the source VM *before* clearing SEV state
Explicitly flush caches after intra-host migration before clearing "SEV
active" on the source VM, as doing cache maintenance afterwards creates a
tiny window where memory reclaim could return memory to the host without
performing a cache flush, e.g. as pointed out by Sashiko:
CPU1 in sev_migrate_from():
src->active = false;
CPU2 running concurrent unmap:
Since active is false, the automatic cache flush in
sev_guest_memory_reclaimed is skipped.
The host frees and reallocates the page.
CPU1 in sev_migrate_from():
sev_writeback_caches(src_kvm);
Executes a hardware cache flush (wbnoinvd), which writes the guest's old
dirty ciphertext over the new page owner's data. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nvmet-auth: fix out-of-bounds write in nvmet_auth_challenge()
nvmet_auth_challenge() receives its output buffer as a void pointer.
sizeof(*d) therefore evaluates to one with GCC and undercounts the fixed
challenge header by 15 bytes. A short AUTH_RECEIVE buffer can pass the
check before the challenge is copied past the end of its allocation.
Use the typed challenge pointer when calculating the response size.

| The authentication framework used by affected Kiloview E3 NDI encoder firmware signs session JSON Web Tokens using an HMAC-SHA256 secret hardcoded as a static string within the firmware image, identical across all deployed devices. An attacker with access to the publicly distributed firmware can recover this secret and forge arbitrary session tokens, including administrative tokens, without valid credentials, enabling unauthenticated access to privileged device functions. |
| Vulnerability in the MySQL Server, MySQL Cluster product of Oracle MySQL (component: Server: Replication). Supported versions that are affected are MySQL Server: 8.4.0-8.4.12, 9.7.0-9.7.3, 26.7.0-26.7.1; MySQL Cluster: 8.0.0-8.0.49, 8.4.0-8.4.12, 9.7.0-9.7.3 and 26.7.0-26.7.1. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise MySQL Server, MySQL Cluster. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all MySQL Server, MySQL Cluster accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of MySQL Server, MySQL Cluster. | Mistune before 3.3.0 contains an inefficient algorithmic complexity vulnerability in parse_link_text that allows remote attackers to cause denial of service through unbalanced square brackets. Attackers can submit markdown containing long runs of unmatched brackets to mistune.html(), triggering repeated forward scans that stall worker processes for minutes. |
| A flaw was found in the OpenShift console. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit a path traversal vulnerability by manipulating the `lng` and `ns` query parameters in the `/locales/resource.json` endpoint. This allows the attacker to read sensitive `*.json` files from the pod filesystem, including plugin manifests and configuration files. Furthermore, this flaw can enable path traversal against registered dynamic-plugin backends. |
| The `insights-operator-gather` ClusterRole grants the operator's service account read access to secrets in the core API group with no namespace or resourceNames restriction — therefore, access to every secret in every namespace in the cluster.

| A flaw was found in the OpenShift console. An authenticated console user can exploit a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability by providing a specially crafted Helm chart URL without proper validation. This allows the user to make the console pod fetch arbitrary URLs, potentially leading to the disclosure of sensitive information through error messages or enabling blind port scanning within the cluster. |
| A flaw was found in openshift/oauth-server. The OAuth login and error page endpoints pass the unauthenticated Accept-Language header to golang.org/x/text/language.ParseAcceptLanguage() without input validation. A bypass of the CVE-2022-32149 mitigation exists: the upstream guard counts only '-' characters but the internal BCP 47 scanner aliases '_' to '-' after the guard check. An unauthenticated attacker can send a crafted Accept-Language header using '_' separators to trigger quadratic-time parsing, consuming excessive CPU and denying authentication to all cluster users. |
| A flaw was found in the internal WebAssembly (WASM) shim used by the Kuadrant operator. When generating the CEL predicate that determines whether Gateway-level authentication and rate limiting should run, the shim does not correctly escape values from HTTPRoute match fields. A user who can create or modify an HTTPRoute attached to a shared Gateway can provide a crafted path, header, or query match value that causes the predicate to skip those checks. The request is still forwarded to the route’s backend. |
| Vulnerability in the Helidon product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: helidon-webclient-http2). Supported versions that are affected are 4.0.0-4.5.5 and 27.0.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP/2 to compromise Helidon. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of Helidon. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.5 (Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). |
