CVE-2026-100070 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-20 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_nat_sip: rewind offset when NAT shrinks the packet sashiko says: If map_addr() changes the packet length, such as when the public NAT IP string is shorter or longer than the internal IP, coff will still point to the offset relative to the pre-mangled packet. If the packet shrinks, coff could overshoot the correct position, potentially causing the next ct_sip_parse_header_uri() call to silently skip bytes and miss subsequent Contact headers. Could this lead to a failure to NAT those subsequent headers and leak internal network details?
CVE-2026-68461 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: device property: initialize the remaining fields of fwnode_handle in fwnode_init() If a firmware node is allocated on the stack (for instance: temporary software node whose life-time we control) or on the heap - but using a non-zeroing allocation function - and initialized using fwnode_init(), its secondary pointer will contain uninitialized memory which likely will be neither NULL nor IS_ERR() and so may end up being dereferenced (for example: in dev_to_swnode()). Set fwnode->secondary to NULL on initialization. While at it: initialize the remaining fields of struct fwnode_handle too just to be sure. [ Fix typo in commit message. - Danilo ]
CVE-2026-68452 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/zcrypt: Validate length for CCA AES cipher key requests cca_cipher2protkey() derives the copy length for the CPRB parameter block directly from the length field in the key token. Reject the request early if the token length exceeds the available space in the parameter block.
CVE-2026-64368 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 8.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/slab: do not limit zeroing to orig_size when only red zoning is enabled When init (zeroing) on allocation is requested, for kmalloc() we generally have to zero the full object size even if a smaller size is requested, in order to provide krealloc()'s __GFP_ZERO guarantees. But if we track the requested size, krealloc() uses that information to do the right thing, so we can zero only the requested size. With red zoning also enabled, any extra size became part of the red zone, so it must not be zeroed and thus we must zero only the requested size. However the current check is imprecise, and will trigger also when only SLAB_RED_ZONE is enabled without SLAB_STORE_USER (which enables tracking the requested size). This means enabling red zoning alone can compromise krealloc()'s __GFP_ZERO contract. Fix this by using slub_debug_orig_size() instead, which is the exact check for whether the requested size is tracked. We don't need to care if red zoning is also enabled or not. Also update and expand the comment accordingly.
CVE-2026-64035 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: igc: set tx buffer type for SMD frames Sashiko pointed out that igc_fpe_init_smd_frame() initializes igc_tx_buffer fields for an SMD skb, but does not set the buffer type: https://sashiko.dev/#/patchset/20260415025226.114115-1-kohei%40enjuk.jp Since igc_tx_buffer entries are reused, a stale XDP or XSK type can remain and make TX completion use the wrong cleanup path. Set the buffer type to IGC_TX_BUFFER_TYPE_SKB.
CVE-2026-53398 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSD: Fix SECINFO_NO_NAME decode error cleanup nfsd4_decode_secinfo_no_name() currently initializes sin_exp after decoding sin_style. If the XDR stream is truncated, the decoder returns nfserr_bad_xdr before sin_exp is initialized. Since commit 3fdc54646234 ("NFSD: Reduce amount of struct nfsd4_compoundargs that needs clearing"), the inline iops array is not cleared between RPC calls. A failed SECINFO_NO_NAME decode can therefore leave sin_exp holding stale union contents from a previous operation. The error response path still invokes nfsd4_secinfo_no_name_release(), which calls exp_put() on a non-NULL sin_exp. Initialize sin_exp before the first failable decode step, matching nfsd4_decode_secinfo().
CVE-2026-31693 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cifs: some missing initializations on replay In several places in the code, we have a label to signify the start of the code where a request can be replayed if necessary. However, some of these places were missing the necessary reinitializations of certain local variables before replay. This change makes sure that these variables get initialized after the label.
CVE-2026-23253 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: dvb-core: fix wrong reinitialization of ringbuffer on reopen dvb_dvr_open() calls dvb_ringbuffer_init() when a new reader opens the DVR device. dvb_ringbuffer_init() calls init_waitqueue_head(), which reinitializes the waitqueue list head to empty. Since dmxdev->dvr_buffer.queue is a shared waitqueue (all opens of the same DVR device share it), this orphans any existing waitqueue entries from io_uring poll or epoll, leaving them with stale prev/next pointers while the list head is reset to {self, self}. The waitqueue and spinlock in dvr_buffer are already properly initialized once in dvb_dmxdev_init(). The open path only needs to reset the buffer data pointer, size, and read/write positions. Replace the dvb_ringbuffer_init() call in dvb_dvr_open() with direct assignment of data/size and a call to dvb_ringbuffer_reset(), which properly resets pread, pwrite, and error with correct memory ordering without touching the waitqueue or spinlock.
CVE-2026-23105 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: qfq: Use cl_is_active to determine whether class is active in qfq_rm_from_ag This is more of a preventive patch to make the code more consistent and to prevent possible exploits that employ child qlen manipulations on qfq. use cl_is_active instead of relying on the child qdisc's qlen to determine class activation.
CVE-2025-71128 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: erspan: Initialize options_len before referencing options. The struct ip_tunnel_info has a flexible array member named options that is protected by a counted_by(options_len) attribute. The compiler will use this information to enforce runtime bounds checking deployed by FORTIFY_SOURCE string helpers. As laid out in the GCC documentation, the counter must be initialized before the first reference to the flexible array member. After scanning through the files that use struct ip_tunnel_info and also refer to options or options_len, it appears the normal case is to use the ip_tunnel_info_opts_set() helper. Said helper would initialize options_len properly before copying data into options, however in the GRE ERSPAN code a partial update is done, preventing the use of the helper function. Before this change the handling of ERSPAN traffic in GRE tunnels would cause a kernel panic when the kernel is compiled with GCC 15+ and having FORTIFY_SOURCE configured: memcpy: detected buffer overflow: 4 byte write of buffer size 0 Call Trace: <IRQ> __fortify_panic+0xd/0xf erspan_rcv.cold+0x68/0x83 ? ip_route_input_slow+0x816/0x9d0 gre_rcv+0x1b2/0x1c0 gre_rcv+0x8e/0x100 ? raw_v4_input+0x2a0/0x2b0 ip_protocol_deliver_rcu+0x1ea/0x210 ip_local_deliver_finish+0x86/0x110 ip_local_deliver+0x65/0x110 ? ip_rcv_finish_core+0xd6/0x360 ip_rcv+0x186/0x1a0 Reported-at: https://launchpad.net/bugs/2129580
CVE-2026-98674 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: adc: adi-axi-adc: Initialize state mutex The AXI ADC register access paths serialize transactions with st->lock, but probe does not initialize it. Initialize the mutex before registering the backend.
CVE-2026-98637 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 6.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: Do not clear VM-wide SVE feature on vCPU init failure pkvm_vcpu_init_sve() clears KVM_ARM_VCPU_SVE in kvm->arch.vcpu_features when it fails, but vcpu_has_sve() tests KVM_ARCH_FLAG_GUEST_HAS_SVE, which is left set. Later vCPUs on that VM then skip the SVE setup and register with a NULL sve_state, which the guest's first FP access hands to sve_load_state(). Return the error without touching vcpu_features.
CVE-2026-98511 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/nouveau: don't bump pin count on failed re-pin in nouveau_bo_pin_locked() nouveau_bo_pin_locked() checks whether an already pinned BO is in a memory domain compatible with a new pin request. When the domains are incompatible, it sets -EBUSY but still calls ttm_bo_pin() before returning. Callers treat a failed nouveau_bo_pin() as not having acquired a new pin, so the extra pin count is never decreased by a matching unpin. This triggers the warning in ttm_bo_release(): WARN_ON_ONCE(bo->pin_count); Found when fuzzing the nouveau driver with a modified Syzkaller: WARNING: drivers/gpu/drm/ttm/ttm_bo.c:256 at ttm_bo_release+0x827/0x9e0 drivers/gpu/drm/ttm/ttm_bo.c:256, CPU#1: syz.3.24/2212 Modules linked in: CPU: 1 UID: 0 PID: 2212 Comm: syz.3.24 Not tainted 7.2.0 #24 PREEMPT(lazy) nouveau 0000:01:00.0: gsp:msg fn:103 len:0x40/0x20 res:0x19 resp:0x19 Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (Q35 + ICH9, 2009), BIOS 1.16.3-debian-1.16.3-2 04/01/2014 RIP: 0010:ttm_bo_release+0x827/0x9e0 drivers/gpu/drm/ttm/ttm_bo.c:256 Code: 02 00 0f 85 51 01 00 00 48 8b 7b 08 e8 d2 20 01 00 e9 80 fd ff ff e8 d8 15 c0 fe 90 0f 0b 90 e9 e1 f8 ff ff e8 ca 15 c0 fe 90 <0f> 0b 90 e9 a4 f8 ff ff e8 bc 15 c0 fe be 03 00 00 00 4c 89 e7 e8 msg: 00000000: 05 00 d0 c1 04 00 f0 f1 01 30 00 00 2d 90 00 00 .........0..-... CVE-2026-98489 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 6.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: atl1c: fix soft lockup on out-of-range tpd_cons read The hardware can report an out-of-range tpd_cons (seen as 0xffff) while the PCIe link/MAC is resetting. An out-of-range value can never be reached and the loop below would spin forever. To avoid a soft lockup treat it as "nothing new to clean" instead. Reproduced on two machines, same NIC (Qualcomm Atheros AR8151 v2.0, 4-port), triggered by rebooting a Mikrotik CCR2004 PCIe card that the ports are directly linked to: - Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS, kernel 7.0.0-31-generic. CVE-2026-98469 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: Fix AArch32 DBGBXVR<n> handling The consolidation of the breakpoint and watchpoint register accessors switched DBGBXVR<n> from trap_bvr() to trap_dbg_wb_reg(). The latter selects backing storage with demux_wb_reg(), which only handles Op2 values 4 through 7. Since DBGBXVR<n> uses Op2 1, an AArch32 guest access hits KVM_BUG_ON() and marks the VM dead. DBGBXVR<n> aliases DBGBVR<n>_EL1[63:32], and its AA32(HI) descriptor already selects the upper half. Map Op2 1 to dbg_bvr[] alongside Op2 4, restoring the pre-regression behavior.
CVE-2026-98843 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: zero gaps in read-gaps folio to avoid writing back stale data netfs_read_gaps() leaves gaps around a streaming write's dirty region unread on the server side, so a short/EOF response there left stale folio content that later got written back. Zero it after the read completes, not before: netfs_wait_for_read() returns rreq->transferred once ret >= 0, so build an iterator over the same bvec array the read used, advance past ret, and zero the rest. The dirty region already maps to sink pages in that array rather than the real folio, so this can't touch it, and only the actual shortfall gets zeroed instead of the whole gap upfront.
CVE-2026-98723 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-18 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet: copy the hostid into the ctrl before creating PR pc_refs Commit 6202783184bf ("nvmet: Improve nvmet_alloc_ctrl() interface and implementation") added a second uuid_copy() of args->hostid near the end of nvmet_alloc_ctrl(), and commit 7b658153f1b8 ("nvmet: Remove duplicate uuid_copy") removed the original copy that sat before nvmet_ctrl_init_pr() instead of the new one. Since then nvmet_ctrl_init_pr() snapshots ctrl->hostid into the per-controller per-namespace reservation refs while the uuid_copy() from the connect data runs later, after the controller is published. The ctrl is allocated with kzalloc(), so every pc_ref created on this path stores the nil UUID. pc_ref->hostid has a single consumer: nvmet_pr_set_ctrl_to_abort() matches it against the preempted registrant's hostid to kill and drain the victim's in-flight I/O for Preempt and Abort. The match can never hit with the nil UUID, so whenever a namespace with reservations enabled exists before a host connects, which includes every reconnect, Preempt and Abort silently degrades into a plain Preempt: the preempting host sees success while the victim's in-flight I/O is still in the air. Copy the hostid where the rest of the connect data is consumed, before the controller is published and before nvmet_ctrl_init_pr() takes its snapshot.
CVE-2026-98759 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-18 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: tipd: fix uninitialized typec_partner_desc in cd321x_update_work() cd321x_update_work() passes a stack-allocated typec_partner_desc to typec_register_partner() after initializing only usb_pd, accessory and identity. typec_register_partner() copies attach and deattach from the descriptor into the partner. With those fields left unset, garbage function pointers may be stored and later invoked from typec_partner_link_device() when a USB device is linked to the port. Uninitialized pd_revision and usb_capability similarly leak stack data through partner sysfs. Zero-initialize the descriptor so optional callbacks remain NULL and the remaining fields are zero.
CVE-2026-98820 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-18 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: blk-mq: set RQF_USE_SCHED when the operation is known The cached requests are allocated for one operation but can be handed out for another. A passthrough command has RQF_USE_SCHED cleared, so using those flags for a subsequent read/write bio will insert it into the scheduler without ->prepare_request() and frees it without ->finish_request(). For kyber, this leaks the domain token acquired at dispatch and stalls the queue. Don't set RQF_USE_SCHED based on the first operation the batch happened to be allocated for. Instead, set it after the request is claimed by an operation. Introduce a helper function, blk_mq_rq_late_init() for this, and absorb blk_mq_rq_time_init() since the two run together.
CVE-2026-98720 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-18 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: nVMX: Force MSR bitmap refresh if runtime eVMCS controls are modified Force a refresh of the vmcs02 MSR bitmap during nested VM-Enter if the runtime eVMCS controls (pin, primary, secondary, etc.) are being updated. If L1 isn't intercepting TPR writes, runs L2 with TPR virtualization, and then runs the same L2 with TPR virtualization disabled, KVM will fail to refresh msr_bitmap02 and leave TPR in passthrough mode even though TPR virtualization is disabled. I.e. failure to refresh the bitmap lets L2 (or L1 by proxy) read and write L0's TPR.
