CVSS v3.1 |
| countly-server is the server-side part of Countly, a product analytics solution. Prior to 24.05.50 and 25.03.44, the authenticated data-migration deletion route in plugins/data_migration/api/api.js passes the user-controlled exportid to clean_up_data without path validation. plugins/data_migration/api/data_migration_helper.js concatenates that identifier into a path resolved outside the intended import directory and calls remove recursively, allowing an application administrator or user with migration permission to delete writable files or directory trees and cause data loss or service disruption. This issue is fixed in versions 24.05.50 and 25.03.44. |
| countly-server is the server-side part of Countly, a product analytics solution. Prior to 24.05.50 and 25.03.44, public image and screenshot routes implemented in frontend/express/app.js, plugins/star-rating/frontend/app.js, and plugins/dashboards/frontend/app.js concatenate attacker-controlled wildcard paths without containment validation. On deployments using the local filesystem backend, an unauthenticated request can traverse outside the intended asset directories and reach getStats or getStream in api/utils/countlyFs.js, allowing arbitrary readable server files to be disclosed. The affected routes include /appimages/*, /memberimages/*, */screenshots/*, /star-rating/images/*, and /dashboards/images/screenshots/*. This issue is fixed in versions 24.05.50 and 25.03.44. |
| Astral uv before 0.8.22 contains a path traversal vulnerability in source distribution (sdist) tar extraction that allows a specially crafted sequence of symlinks to redirect file writes outside the intended extraction prefix. Attackers can publish a malicious sdist that, when installed by a victim, writes arbitrary files to filesystem locations outside the installation prefix. |
| A weakness has been identified in leomoon-studios wiki-go up to 1.9.1. Affected by this vulnerability is the function SaveHandler/SourceHandler of the file internal/handlers/editor.go of the component API. Executing a manipulation can lead to path traversal. | A security flaw has been discovered in leomoon-studios wiki-go up to 1.9.1. Affected is the function RenameFileHandler of the file internal/handlers/files.go of the component Files Rename API. Performing a manipulation of the argument currentPath/newName results in path traversal. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. Upgrading to version 1.9.2 is able to address this issue. The patch is named 81cd12e248314a52605f0f39718c8a76272eac29. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component. |
| Improper resolution of path equivalence in WebDAV allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network. |
| Vulnerability in the Oracle Java SE, Oracle GraalVM for JDK, Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition product of Oracle Java SE (component: Utility). Supported versions that are affected are Oracle Java SE: 8u503, 8u503-perf, 11.0.32.1, 17.0.20.1, 21.0.12.1, 25.0.4.1, 27; Oracle GraalVM for JDK: 17.0.20.1 and 21.0.12.1; Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition: 21.3.19.1.1. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with logon to the infrastructure where Oracle Java SE, Oracle GraalVM for JDK, Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition executes to compromise Oracle Java SE, Oracle GraalVM for JDK, Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle Java SE, Oracle GraalVM for JDK, Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition accessible data as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle Java SE, Oracle GraalVM for JDK, Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition accessible data. Note: This vulnerability can be exploited by using APIs in the specified Component, e.g., through a web service which supplies data to the APIs. This vulnerability also applies to Java deployments, typically in clients running sandboxed Java Web Start applications or sandboxed Java applets, that load and run untrusted code (e.g., code that comes from the internet) and rely on the Java sandbox for security. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 4.0 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N). |
| A path traversal vulnerability was found in pulpcore. The content upload API accepts a 'file_url' parameter that allows users with file repository privileges to specify a local file URL for Pulp to download and store. A URL scheme validation check uses a string prefix comparison that only rejects URLs beginning with 'file://', but Python's URL parser recognizes the 'file:' scheme without double slashes, creating a mismatch between what is validated and what is dispatched to the file downloader. An authenticated user with low-privilege repository permissions can supply a specially crafted URL using relative path traversal sequences to read any file accessible to the Pulp server process. In deployments that include Pulp Container, successful exploitation allows an attacker to read the container registry token signing private key and forge bearer tokens, granting unauthorized access to all private container repositories in the affected registry. |
| The Contact Form 7 Signature Addon WordPress plugin through 4.2.2 does not sanitize a signature field value before building an email attachment path from it, allowing unauthenticated users to attach arbitrary files (bounded to wp-content on current Contact Form 7) to a form's outgoing email via path traversal; when a form is configured to email a copy to a submitter-controlled address, the attacker can read the targeted file. |
| Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in PT Norther Lights Production MapSVG mapsvg-lite-interactive-vector-maps allows Path Traversal. This issue affects MapSVG: from n/a through 8.16.1. |
| Path Traversal (CWE-22) in FileArtifactService in Google ADK TypeScript (@google/adk) versions 0.4.0 before 0.6.0 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to read files matching the artifact directory layout or write files (when an agent tool invokes saveArtifact) outside the intended artifact storage root via crafted relative or percent-encoded path traversal sequences (such as ../ or ..%2F) in the userId or sessionId parameters when the ADK API server is exposed with the non-default FileArtifactService enabled. Applications using the default InMemoryArtifactService are unaffected. Upgrade to @google/adk version 0.6.0 or later. |
| Trudesk through 1.2.11 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows administrators to delete arbitrary files by supplying encoded traversal sequences to DELETE /api/v1/backup/:backup. Attackers can also pass unvalidated file values to POST /api/v1/backup/restore to restore archives from, or extract to, paths outside the intended directories. |
| FlexGet before 3.20.7 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the decompress plugin that allows remote attackers to write arbitrary files by supplying malicious archive member paths. Attackers can deliver zip or rar archives with ../ sequences or absolute paths through a feed, writing Python files into the plugins directory for code execution. |
| A flaw has been found in aaPanel up to 8.25.0. Impacted is the function send_file of the file BTPanel/routes/v2.py of the component Download Endpoint. Executing a manipulation of the argument filename can lead to path traversal. The attack can be executed remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. The vendor confirms: "The reported RCE and LFI vulnerabilities require authentication." |
| Vite is a frontend tooling framework for JavaScript. From 8.2.0 until 8.2.4 and 8.3.3, the first 4 bytes of files outside of server.fs setting can be returned to the browser by a request containing ?vite-wasm-instance. Requests containing the ?vite-wasm-instance query are handled by the internal Wasm plugin's load hook. The hook removes the query and reads the resulting path directly from disk, but the server.fs checks were not applied. After reading the file, Vite attempts to parse it as WebAssembly. When that parse fails, Node and deno throws an error that contains the first 4 bytes of the file. This vulnerability is fixed in 8.2.4 and 8.3.3. |
| Aspose Importer & Exporter plugin for WordPress before 3.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to download arbitrary files via the unsanitized 'file' parameter. Attackers can send GET requests to aspose_import_export_download.php with traversal sequences like ../../../wp-config.php to read database credentials. Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2023-10-20. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: fix path resolution in ksmbd_vfs_kern_path_create
The SMB2 open lookup is rooted at the share with LOOKUP_BENEATH, but the
create/mkdir/hardlink sink is not: ksmbd_vfs_kern_path_create() builds an
absolute path with convert_to_unix_name() and resolves it from AT_FDCWD
via start_creating_path(), so a ".." component is walked from the real
filesystem root and escapes the export.
An authenticated client races a missing path component so the rooted open
lookup returns -ENOENT (taking the create branch) while the same component
is present (a directory) when the create walk runs; the create then
resolves ".." out of the share.
Root the create walk at the share like the lookup and rename paths already
are: resolve the parent with vfs_path_parent_lookup(..., LOOKUP_BENEATH,
&share_conf->vfs_path) and create the final component with
start_creating_noperm(). convert_to_unix_name() then has no callers and is
removed. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: prevent path traversal bypass by restricting caseless retry
ksmbd_vfs_path_lookup() enforces LOOKUP_BENEATH to restrict path
resolution within the share root. When a crafted path attempts to
escape the share boundary using parent-directory components ('..'),
vfs_path_parent_lookup() detects this and immediately fails,
returning -EXDEV.
However, a bug exists in __ksmbd_vfs_kern_path() under caseless mode.
The function fails to intercept the -EXDEV error and erroneously
falls through to the caseless retry logic, which is intended only
for genuinely missing files. During this retry process, the path
is reconstructed, leading to an unintended LOOKUP_BENEATH bypass
that allows write-capable users to create zero-length files or
directories outside the exported share.
Fix this by ensuring that the execution only proceeds to the caseless
lookup retry when the error is specifically -ENOENT. Any other errors,
such as -EXDEV from a path traversal attempt, must be returned immediately. |
| Trudesk through 1.2.11 contains a path traversal and authorization bypass vulnerability in accountsController.uploadImage that allows authenticated users to overwrite other users' avatars via form-supplied _id and username fields. Attackers can supply a username like /../../../x to bypass the incomplete CVE-2022-1752 sanitization and write png, jpg, jpeg, or gif files outside public/uploads/users. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/mlx5: Fix the recovery flow of the UMR QP
This patch addresses an issue in the recovery flow of the UMR QP,
ensuring tasks do not get stuck, as highlighted by the call trace [1].
During recovery, before transitioning the QP to the RESET state, the
software must wait for all outstanding WRs to complete.
Failing to do so can cause the firmware to skip sending some flushed
CQEs with errors and simply discard them upon the RESET, as per the IB
specification.
This race condition can result in lost CQEs and tasks becoming stuck.
To resolve this, the patch sends a final WR which serves only as a
barrier before moving the QP state to RESET.
Once a CQE is received for that final WR, it guarantees that no
outstanding WRs remain, making it safe to transition the QP to RESET and
subsequently back to RTS, restoring proper functionality.
Note:
For the barrier WR, we simply reuse the failed and ready WR.
Since the QP is in an error state, it will only receive
IB_WC_WR_FLUSH_ERR. However, as it serves only as a barrier we don't
care about its status.
