CVE-2026-72013 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-17 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: riscv: Prevent NULL pointer dereference in machine_kexec_prepare() A NULL pointer dereference issue is noticed in riscv's machine_kexec_prepare(), where image->segment[i].buf might be NULL and copied unchecked. The NULL buf comes from ima_add_kexec_buffer(), where kbuf is added by kexec_add_buffer(), but kbuf.buffer is NULL, then it is copied without a check in machine_kexec_prepare(): kexec_file_load -> kimage_file_alloc_init() -> kimage_file_prepare_segments() -> ima_add_kexec_buffer() -> kexec_add_buffer() -> machine_kexec_prepare() -> memcpy() Address this by adding a check before the data copy attempt.

CVE-2022-49527 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: venus: hfi: avoid null dereference in deinit If venus_probe fails at pm_runtime_put_sync the error handling first calls hfi_destroy and afterwards hfi_core_deinit. As hfi_destroy sets core->ops to NULL, hfi_core_deinit cannot call the core_deinit function anymore. Avoid this null pointer derefence by skipping the call when necessary.

This CVE ID has been rejected or withdrawn by its CVE Numbering Authority.
CVE-2026-72092 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/amdxdna: reject command submission on devices without a submit op amdxdna_cmd_submit() calls xdna->dev_info->ops->cmd_submit() unconditionally, but only aie2_dev_ops defines that callback. aie4_vf_ops (the AIE4 SR-IOV virtual function) does not, so a user AMDXDNA_EXEC_CMD ioctl on an AIE4 device reaches a NULL function-pointer call and oopses the kernel. AIE4 submits work through a mapped user queue and doorbell, not this ioctl path. Reject the submission early with -EOPNOTSUPP when the device provides no cmd_submit op, so the shared EXEC ioctl is a clean no-op on such devices. Found by 0sec automated security-research tooling (https://0sec.ai).
CVE-2026-55984 1 Gitea 1 Gitea Open Source Git Server 2026-08-14 2.7 Low
Null Pointer Dereference in AddTime API Causes Authenticated Denial of Service
CVE-2026-65681 1 Microsoft 9 Windows 10 1607, Windows 10 1809, Windows Server 2016 and 6 more 2026-08-14 7.5 High
Null pointer dereference in Windows iSCSI Target Service allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service over a network.
CVE-2026-71967 1 Op-tee 1 Op-tee Os 2026-08-14 5.5 Medium
OP-TEE OS through 4.10.0, fixed in commit 0aadfc2, contains a null pointer dereference vulnerability in the Widevine pseudo-TA open_session handler that allows Normal World clients to cause a denial of service when CFG_WIDEVINE_PTA is enabled. Attackers can open a session directly on the Widevine PTA to trigger an unconditional dereference of a NULL calling session pointer via is_user_ta_ctx(), faulting the TEE at S-EL1 and crashing the trusted execution environment.
CVE-2026-70640 2 Ggml, Ggml-org 2 Llama.cpp, Llama.cpp 2026-08-14 7 High
llama.cpp builds b1886 through b7445 contain a race condition use-after-free vulnerability in the LLaMA-Android JNI wrapper where bench_1model() and free_1context() lack synchronization, allowing Thread A to operate on freed memory while Thread B concurrently frees the llama_context. Attackers can exploit this by performing heap spray with attacker-controlled data containing a fake vtable to hijack the vtable pointer at offset +0x30, causing llama_batch_allocr::clear() to dereference arbitrary memory and achieve remote code execution.
CVE-2026-70639 2 Ggml, Ggml-org 2 Llama.cpp, Llama.cpp 2026-08-14 5.5 Medium
llama.cpp builds b1886 through b7445 contain a null pointer dereference vulnerability in the LLaMA-Android JNI wrapper where the bench_1model() function fails to validate the model context pointer before dereferencing it. Attackers can supply a malicious, corrupt, or truncated model file to trigger a null context condition, causing a SIGSEGV crash that terminates the Android application process and results in denial of service.
CVE-2026-48438 1 Adobe 6 C2pa, C2pa-web, C2patool and 3 more 2026-08-14 7.5 High
CAI Content Credentials is affected by a NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability that could result in an application denial-of-service. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to crash the application, leading to a denial-of-service condition. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction.
CVE-2026-13084 1 Watchguard 40 Firebox Cloud, Firebox M270, Firebox M290 and 37 more 2026-08-14 7.5 High
A null pointer dereference vulnerability in WatchGuard Fireware OS may allow a remote unauthenticated attacker to create a denial-of-service (DoS) condition by sending specially crafted IKEv2 messages. This vulnerability affects both the Mobile User VPN with IKEv2 and the Branch Office VPN using IKEv2 when configured with a dynamic gateway peer. This vulnerability affects Fireware OS 11.10.2 up to and including 11.12.4_Update1, 12.0 up to and including 12.12 and 2025.1 up to and including 2026.2
CVE-2026-45918 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-13 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ovpn: tcp - don't deref NULL sk_socket member after tcp_close() When deleting a peer in case of keepalive expiration, the peer is removed from the OpenVPN hashtable and is temporary inserted in a "release list" for further processing. This happens in: ovpn_peer_keepalive_work() unlock_ovpn(release_list) This processing includes detaching from the socket being used to talk to this peer, by restoring its original proto and socket ops/callbacks. In case of TCP it may happen that, while the peer is sitting in the release list, userspace decides to close the socket. This will result in a concurrent execution of: tcp_close(sk) __tcp_close(sk) sock_orphan(sk) sk_set_socket(sk, NULL) The last function call will set sk->sk_socket to NULL. When the releasing routine is resumed, ovpn_tcp_socket_detach() will attempt to dereference sk->sk_socket to restore its original ops member. This operation will crash due to sk->sk_socket being NULL. Fix this race condition by testing-and-accessing sk->sk_socket atomically under sk->sk_callback_lock.
CVE-2026-68260 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-13 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/imagination: acquire vm_ctx->lock before mapping memory to GPU VM The drm gpuvm code doesn't protect find operation against map operation, and the driver needs to ensure a map operation shouldn't happen when a find operation is in progress. In some cases a find operation will be in progress when doing map/unmap operations, and the find operation will do a NULL pointer dereference. An example of the stack trace of such NULL dereference is shown below: ``` Unable to handle kernel access to user memory without uaccess routines at virtual address 0000000000000010 [<ffffffff01e989d4>] drm_gpuva_find+0x28/0x6c [drm_gpuvm] [<ffffffff01ed3a40>] pvr_vm_unmap+0x34/0x68 [powervr] [<ffffffff01ec69da>] pvr_ioctl_vm_unmap+0x2e/0x50 [powervr] [<ffffffff8080ce0a>] drm_ioctl_kernel+0x8e/0xdc [<ffffffff8080d016>] drm_ioctl+0x1be/0x3e0 [<ffffffff802bec3e>] __riscv_sys_ioctl+0xba/0xc4 [<ffffffff80d858b2>] do_trap_ecall_u+0x23e/0x3f4 [<ffffffff80d92288>] handle_exception+0x168/0x174 ``` As all occurences of drm_gpuva_find*() are already guarded by vm_ctx->lock, make pvr_vm_map() to acquire this lock to prevent disturbing any find operation. This fixes the NULL deference problem in drm_gpuva_find*().
CVE-2026-64164 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-13 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: tracepoints: fix sleep while in atomic context in btrfs_sync_file() The trace event btrfs_sync_file() is called in an atomic context (all trace events are) and its call to dput(), which is needed due to the call to dget_parent(), can sleep, triggering a kernel splat. This can be reproduced by enabling the trace event and running btrfs/056 from fstests for example. The splat shown in dmesg is the following: [53.919] BUG: sleeping function called from invalid context at fs/dcache.c:970 [53.947] in_atomic(): 1, irqs_disabled(): 0, non_block: 0, pid: 32773, name: xfs_io [53.988] preempt_count: 2, expected: 0 [53.967] RCU nest depth: 0, expected: 0 [53.943] Preemption disabled at: [53.944] [<0000000000000000>] 0x0 [54.078] CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 32773 Comm: xfs_io Tainted: G W 7.1.0-rc1-btrfs-next-232+ #1 PREEMPT(full) [54.070] Tainted: [W]=WARN [54.071] Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996), BIOS rel-1.16.2-0-gea1b7a073390-prebuilt.qemu.org 04/01/2014 [54.072] Call Trace: [54.074] <TASK> [54.076] dump_stack_lvl+0x56/0x80 [54.079] __might_resched.cold+0xd6/0x10f [54.072] dput.part.0+0x24/0x110 [54.078] trace_event_raw_event_btrfs_sync_file+0x75/0x140 [btrfs] [54.089] btrfs_sync_file+0x1ed/0x530 [btrfs] [54.087] ? __handle_mm_fault+0x8ae/0xed0 [54.089] btrfs_do_write_iter+0x172/0x210 [btrfs] [54.091] vfs_write+0x21f/0x450 [54.094] __x64_sys_pwrite64+0x8d/0xc0 [54.096] ? do_user_addr_fault+0x20c/0x670 [54.099] do_syscall_64+0x60/0xf20 [54.092] ? clear_bhb_loop+0x60/0xb0 [54.094] entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x76/0x7e So stop using dget_parent() and dput() and access the parent dentry directly as dentry->d_parent. CVE-2026-64170 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-13 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: qup: fix error pointer deref after DMA setup failure The driver falls back to PIO mode if DMA setup fails during probe. Make sure to the clear the DMA channel pointers on setup failure to avoid dereferencing an error pointer (or attempting to release a channel a second time) on later probe errors or driver unbind. This issue was flagged by Sashiko when reviewing a devres allocation conversion patch.
CVE-2026-64169 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-13 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: ep93xx: fix error pointer deref after DMA setup failure The driver falls back to PIO mode if DMA setup fails during probe. Make sure to the clear the DMA channel pointers on setup failure to avoid dereferencing an error pointer on later probe errors or driver unbind. This issue was flagged by Sashiko when reviewing a devres allocation conversion patch.
CVE-2026-64168 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-13 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: sprd: fix error pointer deref after DMA setup failure The driver falls back to PIO mode if DMA setup fails during probe. Make sure to check the dma.enabled flag before trying to release the DMA channels also on late probe errors to avoid dereferencing an error pointer (or attempting to release a channel a second time). This issue was flagged by Sashiko when reviewing a devres allocation conversion patch.
CVE-2026-64167 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-13 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: kho: skip KHO for crash kernel kho_fill_kimage() unconditionally populates the kimage with KHO metadata for every kexec image type. When the image is a crash kernel, this can be problematic as the crash kernel can run in a small reserved region and the KHO scratch areas can sit outside it. The crash kernel then faults during kho_memory_init() when it tries phys_to_virt() on the KHO FDT address: Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address xxxxxxxx ... fdt_offset_ptr+... fdt_check_node_offset_+... fdt_first_property_offset+... fdt_get_property_namelen_+... fdt_getprop+... kho_memory_init+... mm_core_init+... start_kernel+... kho_locate_mem_hole() already skips KHO logic for KEXEC_TYPE_CRASH images, but kho_fill_kimage() was missing the same guard. As kho_fill_kimage() is the single point that populates image->kho.fdt and image->kho.scratch, fixing it here is sufficient for both arm64 and x86 as the FDT and boot_params path are bailing out when these fields are unset.
CVE-2026-64166 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-13 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: firmware: arm_ffa: Check for NULL FF-A ID table while driver registration The bus match callback assumes that every FF-A driver provides an id_table and dereferences it unconditionally. Enforce that contract at registration time so a buggy client driver cannot crash the bus during match.
