| Improper link resolution before file access ('link following') in Windows Update Orchestrator Service allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| A flaw was found in JBoss marshalling. The Infinispan session replication path deserializes replicated session data via the JBoss Marshalling River unmarshaller with no class filtering — enabling RCE via deserialization gadget chains on every cluster node. |
| Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in Apache Camel Spring Redis component.
This issue affects Apache Camel: from 2.11.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1.
RedisConfiguration.getSerializer lazily built a bare JdkSerializationRedisSerializer whenever no serializer option was configured, and that instance was used for every read the component performs. Spring's implementation delegates through DeserializingConverter to DefaultDeserializer, which reads the bytes with a ConfigurableObjectInputStream and installs no java.io.ObjectInputFilter on the stream, so an arbitrary serialized class graph was materialised and its readObject method executed. RedisConsumer.setBody applied that serializer to the raw bytes of every message published to the subscribed channels, before the Exchange was constructed and therefore before any route logic could inspect the message, so an actor able to issue PUBLISH on a subscribed channel reached the deserialization sink directly. The same default serializer backed the RedisTemplate built by RedisConfiguration.createDefaultTemplate, so the producer read commands GET, HGET, HGETALL and HVALS deserialized whatever was stored in the Redis keyspace, and SpringRedisIdempotentRepository shared that template. Configuring a custom redisTemplate did not close the consumer path, because RedisConsumer.setBody reads getSerializer directly rather than the serializer attached to the template, so a deployment that had wired a String serializer into its own template remained exposed on the consumer side unless it also set the serializer option. The component never constructed a java.io.ObjectInputStream itself, which is why earlier passes over the Camel codebase for unfiltered Java deserialization did not reach it. The behaviour dates back to the introduction of the component, first released in 2.11.0, and was unchanged until this fix.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. If users are on the 4.22.x releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.22.1. If users are on the 4.18.x releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.18.5. The 4.14.x releases stream and earlier reached end of life before this issue was resolved and will not receive a fix, so deployments on those lines must move to a supported release. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, set the JVM-wide jdk.serialFilter system property, which the affected code path honours because it reads through a java.io.ObjectInputStream, for example -Djdk.serialFilter=!java.net.**;java.**;javax.**;org.apache.camel.**;!* ; or set the serializer endpoint option to a serializer that does not use Java serialization, such as StringRedisSerializer, noting that this must be set as the serializer option and not only on a custom redisTemplate. As defence in depth, require authentication on the Redis instance and restrict which clients may publish to the subscribed channels, and do not expose a Redis instance consumed by Camel to untrusted networks. |
| Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in ShortPixel ShortPixel Image Optimizer shortpixel-image-optimiser allows Object Injection. This issue affects ShortPixel Image Optimizer: from n/a through 6.5.5. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb: client: flush dirty data before zeroing a range
smb3_zero_range() emulates FALLOC_FL_ZERO_RANGE by invalidating the
page cache over the target range with truncate_pagecache_range() and
then issuing FSCTL_SET_ZERO_DATA to the server.
Dirty data was only flushed conditionally, when the range reached or
extended EOF. For a purely interior zero range that does not reach
EOF, no flush happened, so a dirty folio overlapping the range could
be written back to the server after the FSCTL and refill the range
that was just zeroed with stale data.
Fix this by unconditionally flushing and waiting for dirty data in the
range before invalidating the page cache and issuing
FSCTL_SET_ZERO_DATA, exactly as was done for smb3_punch_hole() in
commit d7d2adcd022b ("smb/client: flush dirty data before punching a
hole"); the two paths are structurally identical here.
This is observed as generic/363 randomly reading stale data where a
zeroed range is expected against Windows Server. |
| Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in VillaTheme AFFI – Affiliate Marketing for WooCommerce affi-affiliate-marketing-for-woo allows Object Injection. This issue affects AFFI – Affiliate Marketing for WooCommerce: from n/a through 1.0.10. |
| EspoCRM is an open source customer relationship management application. Prior to 9.3.7, an authenticated administrator can supply crafted serialized PHP object data that is stored in background MassAction or Export parameters and later deserialized by the application. The deserialization paths do not restrict allowed classes, allowing attacker-controlled object instantiation and arbitrary code execution on the server. This issue is fixed in version 9.3.7. |
| Subscriber PHP Object Injection in Dynamic User Directory <= 2.4 versions. |
| OmniFaces is a utility library for Faces. In OmniFaces versions before 1.14.3, 2.7.33, 3.14.23, 4.7.12, and 5.4.2, CombinedResourceHandler accepts a structurally valid deflated and base64 encoded combined resource ID without verifying that the server issued it. A forged ID can cause unbounded decoded output, add unique reconstructed IDs to a process-lifetime cache, or combine resources other than stylesheets and scripts. Because jakarta.faces.RESOURCE_EXCLUDES is not applied by this custom resolution path, a forged ID can disclose Facelets source from the webapp resource tree or META-INF/resources. In a deployment configured with the wildcard CDN mapping, a forged ID that selects omnifaces.graphic can also cause a blind, deployment-dependent server-side fetch whose destination derives partly from the request Host header. The flaw does not provide arbitrary file read or establish arbitrary-scheme or arbitrary-destination SSRF. The shared authenticity failure permits memory exhaustion and limited resource disclosure. This issue is fixed in versions 1.14.3, 2.7.33, 3.14.23, 4.7.12, and 5.4.2. |

| A flaw was found in bubblewrap. During sandbox setup, creating files or directories under the new root can follow a parent symlink onto the host via /oldroot, writing attacker-chosen paths outside the sandbox as the launching user. This happens before the sandboxed process starts. This issue is GHSA-pxhw-h44j-8pfx. It is fixed in bubblewrap 0.12.0. |
| A vulnerability was determined in datastax pulsar-jms up to 9.0.3. This issue affects the function decode of the file pulsar-jms/src/main/java/com/datastax/oss/pulsar/jms/messages/PulsarObjectMessage.java. This manipulation causes deserialization. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. |
| This is a vulnerability in Bitbucket Data Center, Confluence Data Center, Jira Service Management Data Center, Jira Software Data Center, Bamboo Data Center. Crowd Data Center, Crucible and Fisheye. This Arbitrary File Access vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to access specific files within the web application root directory in affected versions. Exploitation requires prior knowledge of the target file's exact name and path; this vulnerability does not allow attackers to enumerate or list directory contents. In some configurations, there may be some sensitive files that make this highly severe. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to access specific files within the web application root directory in affected versions. The vulnerability must be addressed for affected versions of: -- Bitbucket Data Center, introduced in version >= 4.6.0, fix versions: 9.4.26, 10.2.8, 10.5.1 -- Confluence Data Center, introduced in version >= 5.10.0, fix versions 9.2.26, 10.2.19 -- Crowd Data Center, introduced in version >= 2.11.0, fix versions 6.3.7, 7.0.3, 7.1.7, 7.2.4 -- Jira Software Data Center, introduced in version >= 7.1.0, fix versions 9.12.40, 10.3.26, 11.3.12 -- Jira Service Management Data Center, introduced in version >= 3.1.0, fix versions 5.12.40, 10.3.26, 11.3.12 -- Bamboo Data Center >= 7.0.1, fix versions 10.2.24, 12.1.12 -- Crucible, fix versions 4.9.15 -- Fisheye, fix version 4.9.15 -- Exploitation requires prior knowledge of the target file's exact name and path. The vulnerability does not include the capability to enumerate or list directory contents. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fs: preserve ACL_DONT_CACHE state in forget_cached_acl()
The ACL_DONT_CACHE state is meant to be a constant state for the inode
for filesystems that want to opt out of posix acl caching.
Commit facd61053cff1 ("fuse: fixes after adapting to new posix acl api")
used this facility to opt out of posix acl caching for fuse inodes with
fuse server that does not negotiate FUSE_POSIX_ACL (fc->posix_acl).
The commit also takes care to gate the forget_all_cached_acls() call in
fuse_set_acl() on fc->posix_acl because there is no need for it, but
there are other placed in fuse code which call forget_all_cached_acls()
unconditional to fc->posix_acl and those cause the loss of the
ACL_DONT_CACHE state.
This is not only a functional bug. Properly timed, a get_acl() from this
fuse filesystem can return a stale cached value, as was observed in tests,
because set_acl() does not invalidate the unintentional acl cache.
We could fix this in fuse, but it actually makes no sense for the vfs
helper forget_cached_acl() to invalidate the ACL_DONT_CACHE state, so
let it not do that to fix fuse and future users of ACL_DONT_CACHE. |
| Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in Apache Camel Camel-Jgroups component.
This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1.
JGroupsEndpoint.createExchange(Message), which CamelJGroupsReceiver calls for every message the jgroups consumer receives before the exchange is routed, set the exchange body from org.jgroups.Message.getObject(). For an ObjectMessage, which is the message type the Camel jgroups producer sends, JGroups Java-deserializes the payload through an ObjectInputStream on its own receive thread as the message arrives, and getObject() returns the resulting object. No java.io.ObjectInputFilter was applied on that path unless the deployment had set a JVM-wide serialization filter: camel-jgroups installed none, and the JGroups versions shipped with the affected releases apply none of their own, so any serializable class on the application classpath could be instantiated and its deserialization callbacks run. Unless a channel or the channelProperties option is configured, the consumer creates its channel with new JChannel(), the stock JGroups protocol stack, which multicasts over UDP without the AUTH protocol and without encryption, so any host able to reach the cluster's multicast group or bind port can join the cluster and send messages to the consumer without credentials. Such a host could send a crafted serialized object that leads to remote code execution in the Camel process when a usable deserialization gadget chain is present on the classpath, and no non-default option was required on the consumer. Because JGroups materializes the object before Camel's receiver runs, a check performed by Camel can only inspect the deserialized result and cannot stop code that runs during deserialization, so closing the issue also requires a control that applies before the payload is read, as described in the mitigation. Exploitation requires network access to the cluster's multicast group or bind port, which with the default UDP multicast transport means a host on an adjacent network, and a usable gadget chain on the classpath, which is why the severity is assessed as high rather than critical.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. If users are on the 4.22.x releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.22.1. If users are on the 4.18.x releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.18.5. The 4.14.x releases stream and earlier, and the 4.15.x to 4.17.x and 4.19.x to 4.21.x release lines, reached end of life before this issue was resolved and will not receive a fix, so deployments on those lines must move to a supported release. |
| undici is an HTTP client library for Node.js. In versions 7.0.0 through 7.30.0 and 8.0.0 through 8.12.1, when an originless Agent composes the redirect and cache interceptors in that order with a shared cache store, the cache builds its key from the original request URL before the redirect handler changes the origin, so a response produced after a cross-origin redirect is stored under the original key. An attacker who controls the target of a redirect from a trusted URL can have their response cached under that trusted URL and served to later callers, allowing persistent cache poisoning, and the same key confusion lets a private, non-stored redirect response to a user-specific resource be stored under the original URL and served to a later unauthenticated caller, disclosing private data. Applications are affected only when an originless Agent, a shared cache store, and the redirect-then-cache composition are all used. The issue is fixed in undici 7.30.1 and 8.12.2, which verify the producing origin still matches the cache key and preserve each redirect hop's cache-control policy before storing, and users should upgrade to one of those versions or later. As a workaround, compose the cache interceptor before the redirect interceptor, use per-origin dispatchers and cache stores, or disable shared caching on redirect-capable requests. |
| RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Prior to versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.0, ?LOG_DEBUG("shutting down Shovel '~ts', ... Shovel state: ~tp", [Name, State]) formats the entire state map. The 'uris' field holds plaintext URIs after credentials_obfuscation:decrypt (called in rabbit_shovel_util:deobfuscated_uris/2). No format_status/1,2 callback exists in rabbit_shovel_worker to redact it. Triggered when an autodelete shovel (src-delete-after = N) completes. With DEBUG logging enabled, autodelete-shovel completion writes the full shovel state map , including decrypted amqp://user:password@host/ URIs , to the broker log file. Preconditions include Shovel plugin enabled with URI-embedded credentials DEBUG log level (non-default) Autodelete shovel configuration Attacker has log read access. This issue is fixed in versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.0. |
