CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: mac80211: reset the AP_VLAN tailroom counter on ifdown
On ifup, AP_VLAN interfaces get crypto_tx_tailroom_needed_cnt from
the AP interface, but it's never decremented again unless the AP is
also brought down. Thus, bringing the same AP_VLAN up again will
increment the counter again and eventually hit the sanity check:
WARN_ON_ONCE(sdata->crypto_tx_tailroom_needed_cnt !=
master->crypto_tx_tailroom_needed_cnt);
Reset it on ifdown to avoid that. |
| Progress MarkLogic Server 12.x releases before 12.1.0 and 11.x releases before 11.3.7 enable XML external entity processing by default in multiple server paths, which could allow crafted XML to cause server-side requests or disclosure of local files. |
| A security issue was discovered in MongoDB mongos (the sharded cluster router) where an authenticated user with readWrite privileges could crash the mongos process by crafting a specially formed aggregation pipeline. The issue leverages an internal aggregation stage that lacks proper authorization checks despite being intended for internal use, allowing a subsequent stage to be forced to execute on the router under conditions it was not designed to handle. This results in an unhandled fatal error that causes the mongos process to immediately abort, resulting in denial of service for all clients routed through the affected mongos instance. |
| Previously issued authentication tokens are not immediately invalidated when an OTRS agent or customer user account is deactivated or its password is changed. As a result, an existing JWT may remain valid until its regular expiration time, which can be approximately 16 hours.
An attacker who has previously obtained a valid authentication token can therefore continue to access OTRS with the privileges of the affected agent or customer user even after the corresponding account has been deactivated or the user's password has been changed.
The vulnerability does not allow an attacker to obtain authentication tokens by itself. Exploitation requires possession of a previously issued and still valid token. The actual impact depends on the privileges associated with the compromised token. Customer user tokens are limited to the permissions of the affected customer account, while agent tokens may provide access to broader ticket, customer, or administrative functionality depending on the assigned permissions.
This issue affects OTRS:
* 7.0.X

* 2023.X
* 2024.X
* 2025.X

| An issue was discovered in JasPer 2.0.14. There is an access violation in the function jas_image_readcmpt in libjasper/base/jas_image.c, leading to a denial of service. |
| FasterXML jackson-databind 2.x before 2.9.7 might allow attackers to conduct external XML entity (XXE) attacks by leveraging failure to block unspecified JDK classes from polymorphic deserialization. |
| F´ (F Prime) is a framework that enables development and deployment of spaceflight and other embedded software applications. Prior to 4.2.0, Fw::FilePacket deserialization used by Svc::FileUplink is vulnerable because Header deserialization casts the byte to the Type enum without validating its range and FilePacket::fromSerialBuffer reaches a default FW_ASSERT. When a network file packet contains an unknown file-packet type byte, the assertion aborts or resets the default Ref application process, causing denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 4.2.0. |
| An unix symbolic link (symlink) following vulnerability has been reported to affect QuMagie. If a remote attacker gains a user account, they can then exploit the vulnerability to compromise the security of the system.
We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following version:
QuMagie 2.9.2 and later |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
accel/amdxdna: Fix locally exploitable BUG_ON in amdxdna_insert_pages()
In amdxdna_insert_pages(), vm_flags_mod() sets VM_MIXEDMAP and clears
VM_PFNMAP. If an unprivileged userspace process mmaps a non-imported GEM
object and then calls madvise(MADV_DONTNEED), the PTEs will be
successfully cleared because VM_MIXEDMAP allows this (unlike VM_PFNMAP).
When userspace subsequently accesses the memory, drm_gem_shmem_fault()
handles the page fault and attempts to map the backing shmem page via
vmf_insert_pfn() which calls vmf_insert_pfn_prot(). Because the backing
shmem page is normal system memory (pfn_valid(pfn) is true) and the VMA
now has VM_MIXEDMAP set, won't this predictably trigger the explicit
assertion BUG_ON((vma->vm_flags & VM_MIXEDMAP) && pfn_valid(pfn))
Fix by removing the vm_flags_mod() call and replacing the vm_insert_pages()
pre-population with the handle_mm_fault() loop that was already used for
the import (dma-buf) path. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
hfs: Replace BUG_ON with error handling for CNID count checks
In a06ec283e125 next_id, folder_count, and file_count in the super block
info were expanded to 64 bits, and BUG_ONs were added to detect
overflow. This triggered an error reported by syzbot: if the MDB is
corrupted, the BUG_ON is triggered. This patch replaces this mechanism
with proper error handling and resolves the syzbot reported bug.

| Heym v0.0.5 before v0.0.113 contains a broken access control vulnerability that allows former collaborators to keep executing JWT-auth workflows by reusing scoped workflow:execute tokens after share removal. Attackers can mint a token with a TTL up to 10 years, which the owner cannot list or revoke, and repeatedly run the workflow consuming shared credentials. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
signal: clear JOBCTL_PENDING_MASK for caller in zap_other_threads()
When a multi-threaded process receives a stop signal (e.g., SIGSTOP),
do_signal_stop() sets JOBCTL_STOP_PENDING and JOBCTL_STOP_CONSUME on all
threads and sets signal->group_stop_count to the number of threads. If
one of the threads concurrently calls execve(), de_thread() invokes
zap_other_threads() to kill all other threads. zap_other_threads()
aborts the pending group stop by resetting signal->group_stop_count to 0
and clears the JOBCTL_PENDING_MASK for all other threads. However, it
fails to clear the job control flags for the calling thread.
When execve() completes, the calling thread returns to user mode and
checks for pending signals. Seeing the stale JOBCTL_STOP_PENDING flag,
it calls do_signal_stop(), which invokes task_participate_group_stop().
Since JOBCTL_STOP_CONSUME is still set, it attempts to decrement the
already-zero signal->group_stop_count, triggering a warning:
sig->group_stop_count == 0

Fix this race condition by clearing the JOBCTL_PENDING_MASK for the
calling thread in zap_other_threads(), ensuring it does not retain any
stale job control state after the thread group is destroyed. This aligns
with other functions that tear down a thread group and abort group
stops, such as zap_process() and complete_signal(), which correctly
clear these flags for all threads including the current one. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ext4: replace BUG_ON with proper error handling in ext4_read_inline_folio
Replace BUG_ON() with proper error handling when inline data size
exceeds PAGE_SIZE. This prevents kernel panic and allows the system to
continue running while properly reporting the filesystem corruption.
The error is logged via ext4_error_inode(), the buffer head is released
to prevent memory leak, and -EFSCORRUPTED is returned to indicate
filesystem corruption. |

ipv6: avoid overflows in ip6_datagram_send_ctl()
Yiming Qian reported :
<quote>
I believe I found a locally triggerable kernel bug in the IPv6 sendmsg
ancillary-data path that can panic the kernel via `skb_under_panic()`
(local DoS).
The core issue is a mismatch between:
- a 16-bit length accumulator (`struct ipv6_txoptions::opt_flen`, type
`__u16`) and
- a pointer to the *last* provided destination-options header (`opt->dst1opt`)
when multiple `IPV6_DSTOPTS` control messages (cmsgs) are provided.
- `include/net/ipv6.h`:
- `struct ipv6_txoptions::opt_flen` is `__u16` (wrap possible).
(lines 291-307, especially 298)
- `net/ipv6/datagram.c:ip6_datagram_send_ctl()`:
- Accepts repeated `IPV6_DSTOPTS` and accumulates into `opt_flen`
without rejecting duplicates. (lines 909-933)
- `net/ipv6/ip6_output.c:__ip6_append_data()`:
- Uses `opt->opt_flen + opt->opt_nflen` to compute header
sizes/headroom decisions. (lines 1448-1466, especially 1463-1465)
- `net/ipv6/ip6_output.c:__ip6_make_skb()`:
- Calls `ipv6_push_frag_opts()` if `opt->opt_flen` is non-zero.
(lines 1930-1934)
- `net/ipv6/exthdrs.c:ipv6_push_frag_opts()` / `ipv6_push_exthdr()`:
- Push size comes from `ipv6_optlen(opt->dst1opt)` (based on the
pointed-to header). (lines 1179-1185 and 1206-1211)
1. `opt_flen` is a 16-bit accumulator:
- `include/net/ipv6.h:298` defines `__u16 opt_flen; /* after fragment hdr */`.
2. `ip6_datagram_send_ctl()` accepts *repeated* `IPV6_DSTOPTS` cmsgs
and increments `opt_flen` each time:
- In `net/ipv6/datagram.c:909-933`, for `IPV6_DSTOPTS`:
- It computes `len = ((hdr->hdrlen + 1) << 3);`
- It checks `CAP_NET_RAW` using `ns_capable(net->user_ns,
CAP_NET_RAW)`. (line 922)
- Then it does:
- `opt->opt_flen += len;` (line 927)
- `opt->dst1opt = hdr;` (line 928)
There is no duplicate rejection here (unlike the legacy
`IPV6_2292DSTOPTS` path which rejects duplicates at
`net/ipv6/datagram.c:901-904`).
If enough large `IPV6_DSTOPTS` cmsgs are provided, `opt_flen` wraps
while `dst1opt` still points to a large (2048-byte)
destination-options header.
In the attached PoC (`poc.c`):
- 32 cmsgs with `hdrlen=255` => `len = (255+1)*8 = 2048`
- 1 cmsg with `hdrlen=0` => `len = 8`
- Total increment: `32*2048 + 8 = 65544`, so `(__u16)opt_flen == 8`
- The last cmsg is 2048 bytes, so `dst1opt` points to a 2048-byte header.
3. The transmit path sizes headers using the wrapped `opt_flen`:
- In `net/ipv6/ip6_output.c:1463-1465`:
- `headersize = sizeof(struct ipv6hdr) + (opt ? opt->opt_flen +
opt->opt_nflen : 0) + ...;`
With wrapped `opt_flen`, `headersize`/headroom decisions underestimate
what will be pushed later.
4. When building the final skb, the actual push length comes from
`dst1opt` and is not limited by wrapped `opt_flen`:
- In `net/ipv6/ip6_output.c:1930-1934`:
- `if (opt->opt_flen) proto = ipv6_push_frag_opts(skb, opt, proto);`
- In `net/ipv6/exthdrs.c:1206-1211`, `ipv6_push_frag_opts()` pushes
`dst1opt` via `ipv6_push_exthdr()`.
- In `net/ipv6/exthdrs.c:1179-1184`, `ipv6_push_exthdr()` does:
- `skb_push(skb, ipv6_optlen(opt));`
- `memcpy(h, opt, ipv6_optlen(opt));`
With insufficient headroom, `skb_push()` underflows and triggers
`skb_under_panic()` -> `BUG()`:
- `net/core/skbuff.c:2669-2675` (`skb_push()` calls `skb_under_panic()`)
- `net/core/skbuff.c:207-214` (`skb_panic()` ends in `BUG()`)
- The `IPV6_DSTOPTS` cmsg path requires `CAP_NET_RAW` in the target
netns user namespace (`ns_capable(net->user_ns, CAP_NET_RAW)`).
- Root (or any task with `CAP_NET_RAW`) can trigger this without user
namespaces.
- An unprivileged `uid=1000` user can trigger this if unprivileged
user namespaces are enabled and it can create a userns+netns to obtain
namespaced `CAP_NET_RAW` (the attached PoC does this).
- Local denial of service: kernel BUG/panic (system crash).

| nghttp2 is an implementation of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol version 2 in C. Prior to version 1.68.1, the nghttp2 library stops reading the incoming data when user facing public API `nghttp2_session_terminate_session` or `nghttp2_session_terminate_session2` is called by the application. They might be called internally by the library when it detects the situation that is subject to connection error. Due to the missing internal state validation, the library keeps reading the rest of the data after one of those APIs is called. Then receiving a malformed frame that causes FRAME_SIZE_ERROR causes assertion failure. nghttp2 v1.68.1 adds missing state validation to avoid assertion failure. No known workarounds are available. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drbd: fix "LOGIC BUG" in drbd_al_begin_io_nonblock()
Even though we check that we "should" be able to do lc_get_cumulative()
while holding the device->al_lock spinlock, it may still fail,
if some other code path decided to do lc_try_lock() with bad timing.
If that happened, we logged "LOGIC BUG for enr=...",
but still did not return an error.
The rest of the code now assumed that this request has references
for the relevant activity log extents.
The implcations are that during an active resync, mutual exclusivity of
resync versus application IO is not guaranteed. And a potential crash
at this point may not realizs that these extents could have been target
of in-flight IO and would need to be resynced just in case.
Also, once the request completes, it will give up activity log references it
does not even hold, which will trigger a BUG_ON(refcnt == 0) in lc_put().
Fix:
Do not crash the kernel for a condition that is harmless during normal
operation: also catch "e->refcnt == 0", not only "e == NULL"
when being noisy about "al_complete_io() called on inactive extent %u\n".
And do not try to be smart and "guess" whether something will work, then
be surprised when it does not.
Deal with the fact that it may or may not work. If it does not, remember a
possible "partially in activity log" state (only possible for requests that
cross extent boundaries), and return an error code from
drbd_al_begin_io_nonblock().
A latter call for the same request will then resume from where we left off. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fs: relax assertions on failure to encode file handles
Encoding file handles is usually performed by a filesystem >encode_fh()
method that may fail for various reasons.
The legacy users of exportfs_encode_fh(), namely, nfsd and
name_to_handle_at(2) syscall are ready to cope with the possibility
of failure to encode a file handle.
There are a few other users of exportfs_encode_{fh,fid}() that
currently have a WARN_ON() assertion when ->encode_fh() fails.
Relax those assertions because they are wrong.
The second linked bug report states commit 16aac5ad1fa9 ("ovl: support
encoding non-decodable file handles") in v6.6 as the regressing commit,
but this is not accurate.
The aforementioned commit only increases the chances of the assertion
and allows triggering the assertion with the reproducer using overlayfs,
inotify and drop_caches.
Triggering this assertion was always possible with other filesystems and
other reasons of ->encode_fh() failures and more particularly, it was
also possible with the exact same reproducer using overlayfs that is
mounted with options index=on,nfs_export=on also on kernels < v6.6.
Therefore, I am not listing the aforementioned commit as a Fixes commit.
Backport hint: this patch will have a trivial conflict applying to
v6.6.y, and other trivial conflicts applying to stable kernels < v6.6. |

| D-Bus before 1.15.6 sometimes allows unprivileged users to crash dbus-daemon. If a privileged user with control over the dbus-daemon is using the org.freedesktop.DBus.Monitoring interface to monitor message bus traffic, then an unprivileged user with the ability to connect to the same dbus-daemon can cause a dbus-daemon crash under some circumstances via an unreplyable message. When done on the well-known system bus, this is a denial-of-service vulnerability. The fixed versions are 1.12.28, 1.14.8, and 1.15.6. |
