CVSS v3.1 |
A flaw was found in libarchive. This heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists in the RAR archive processing logic due to improper validation of the LZSS sliding window size after transitions between compression methods. A remote attacker can exploit this by providing a specially crafted RAR archive, leading to the disclosure of sensitive heap memory information without requiring authentication or user interaction.
Heap-based buffer overflow in SQL Server allows an authorized attacker to execute code over a network.
A vulnerability was detected in Kamailio up to 6.0.7/6.1.3. The affected element is the function isup_get_calling_party of the file src/modules/sipt/ss7_parser.c of the component sipt Module. The manipulation of the argument length results in buffer overflow. The attack may be performed from remote. Upgrading to version 6.0.8 and 6.1.4 is sufficient to fix this issue. The patch is identified as 3667bebf8d0bea07ed16218fd921d07db87aeb21. Upgrading the affected component is advised.
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 5.19.16. Attackers able to inject WLAN frames could cause a buffer overflow in the ieee80211_bss_info_update function in net/mac80211/scan.c.
An out-of-bounds(OOB) memory access vulnerability was found in vmwgfx driver in drivers/gpu/vmxgfx/vmxgfx_kms.c in GPU component in the Linux kernel with device file '/dev/dri/renderD128 (or Dxxx)'. This flaw allows a local attacker with a user account on the system to gain privilege, causing a denial of service(DoS).
SQLite 1.0.12 through 3.39.x before 3.39.2 sometimes allows an array-bounds overflow if billions of bytes are used in a string argument to a C API.
curl can be told to parse a `.netrc` file for credentials. If that file endsin a line with 4095 consecutive non-white space letters and no newline, curlwould first read past the end of the stack-based buffer, and if the readworks, write a zero byte beyond its boundary. This will in most cases cause a segfault or similar, but circumstances might also cause different outcomes. If a malicious user can provide a custom netrc file to an application or otherwise affect its contents, this flaw could be used as denial-of-service.
When curl is used to retrieve and parse cookies from a HTTP(S) server, itaccepts cookies using control codes that when later are sent back to a HTTPserver might make the server return 400 responses. Effectively allowing a"sister site" to deny service to all siblings.
Buffer overflow in ANGLE in Google Chrome on on Android prior to 155.0.8059.79 allowed a remote attacker to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Critical)
Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft QUIC allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network.
Buffer overflow in PDFium in Google Chrome prior to 155.0.8059.79 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
Buffer overflow in Animation in Google Chrome prior to 155.0.8059.79 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
Poppler 0.42.0 through 26.10.0 contains a stack-based buffer overflow in Decrypt::revision6Hash() that allows attackers controlling the password to overwrite stack memory when opening AESV3/R6 encrypted PDFs. Attackers can supply a password longer than 127 bytes through applications using the libpoppler, libpoppler-glib or C++ API to overflow the K1 and E buffers, crashing the process or corrupting memory.
Out-of-bounds Write (CWE-787) in the PEA archive extraction routine (pea.pas, unpea_procedure) of the first-party pea component in PeaZip 11.2.0 and earlier allows an attacker who convinces a victim to open or extract a crafted .pea archive to execute arbitrary code as the user running PeaZip. While decompressing a PCOMPRESS1 stream, the 32-bit compressed-block-size field of the first block (compsize) is read directly from the archive and used without validation as the length of a blockread into the fixed-size global buffers wbuf1/wbuf2 (1,114,112 bytes) and as the bound of the subsequent copy loop. The existing check "compsize > WBUFSIZE" is applied only to the size of each following block, so the first block escapes it; the same unvalidated value is also used to index wbuf1[compsize], an out-of-bounds read at an attacker-chosen offset. The copy loop additionally copies the requested length instead of the number of bytes actually read, and terminates on equality rather than on an upper bound. Because the project is built without range checking and no archive password, integrity tag or non-default configuration is required, the overflow overwrites adjacent global data; code execution was demonstrated by two independent researchers against the official Linux x86-64 and Windows x64 builds, and the denial-of-service and memory-corruption primitive is cross-platform (Windows, macOS, Linux, BSD).
OpenPanel through 2.3.0 contains a CSV formula injection vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to embed spreadsheet formulas by supplying crafted profile IDs to the /track endpoint. Attackers can send tracking events with profile IDs like =HYPERLINK(...) matching a cohort, so exported cohort CSVs execute formulas that exfiltrate adjacent cell data.
The deprecated compatibility function clnt_create in the sunrpc module of the GNU C Library (aka glibc) through 2.34 copies its hostname argument on the stack without validating its length, which may result in a buffer overflow, potentially resulting in a denial of service or (if an application is not built with a stack protector enabled) arbitrary code execution.
The deprecated compatibility function svcunix_create in the sunrpc module of the GNU C Library (aka glibc) through 2.34 copies its path argument on the stack without validating its length, which may result in a buffer overflow, potentially resulting in a denial of service or (if an application is not built with a stack protector enabled) arbitrary code execution.
In NTFS-3G through 2026.2.25, a heap-based buffer overflow exists in the function build_inherited_id() in libntfs-3g/security.c that allows an attacker to corrupt heap memory in the SUID-root ntfs-3g binary by crafting a malicious NTFS image. The overflow is triggered by creating a file in a crafted directory.
In NTFS-3G through 2026.2.25, an out-of-bounds read exists in ntfs_ir_nill() in libntfs-3g/index.c that allows an attacker to read possibly confidential information in an ntfs-3g process by crafting a malicious NTFS image. This read operation is triggered by creation of a file with a crafted name.
ESF-IDF is the Espressif Internet of Things (IOT) Development Framework. Prior to 5.2.8, 5.3.6, 5.5.5, 6.0.3, and 6.1-rc1, ESP-IDF BlueDroid L2CAP configuration-option processing in l2c_main.c and l2c_utils.c does not consistently validate option lengths against the remaining received packet bytes. A remote unauthenticated BR/EDR peer within radio range can send a malformed L2CAP configuration request that causes an out-of-bounds read, and under some runtime conditions limited adjacent Bluetooth stack memory can be included in an outbound L2CAP Configuration Response. The issue affects ESP32-class products using the BlueDroid host stack with Classic Bluetooth enabled. This issue is fixed in 5.2.8, 5.3.6, 5.5.5, 6.0.3, and 6.1-rc1.
