CVSS v3.1 |
| The system certificate authority (CA) store in Red Hat products, distributed via ca-certificates RPM packages, included multiple root CA certificates of authorities, which signed intermediate CA certificates with weak private keys issued by the eMudhra certificate authority. A man-in-the-middle attacker could use this flaw to issue certificates for arbitrary host names signed by the weak intermediate CA certificates, which would be considered trusted by a TLS/SSL client using system CA store and cause such clients to connect to malicious sites.
Due to inability to only distrust specific intermediate certificates in all clients using the system CA store, root CA certificates of authorities that signed weak intermediate CA certificates are being removed. |
| An out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the Linux kernel's net/sched: sch_qfq component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation.
The qfq_change_agg() function in net/sched/sch_qfq.c allows an out-of-bounds write because lmax is updated according to packet sizes without bounds checks.
We recommend upgrading past commit 3e337087c3b5805fe0b8a46ba622a962880b5d64. |
| A vulnerability was identified in Linux Kernel up to 4.19.316/5.4.278/5.10.220/5.15.161. This impacts the function tcp_getsockopt/tcp_setsockopt of the component TCP Handler. Such manipulation leads to race condition. A high complexity level is associated with this attack. The exploitability is said to be difficult. The vulnerability was introduced in 2.6.12, commit 1da177e4c3f41524e886b7f1b8a0c1fc7321cac2 ("Linux-2.6.12-rc2"). Upgrading to version 4.19.317, 5.4.279, 5.10.221, 5.15.162 and 6.1 will fix this issue. The name of the patch is fcd31dd8291b23d713245947ec2b2d99ef07aef2/3b32f265805a49071e2c4568a524398ba22bf93c/d529193eae979a7bf2255cd9fe68b7af7a1c91b3/5bb642cc3355ffd3c8bca0a8bd8e6e65bcc2091c/f49cd2f4d6170d27a2c61f1fecb03d8a70c91f57. The affected component should be upgraded. |
| The HTTP/2 protocol allows a denial of service (server resource consumption) because request cancellation can reset many streams quickly, as exploited in the wild in August through October 2023. |
| Buffer overflow in the RTL8169 NIC driver (drivers/net/r8169.c) in the Linux kernel before 2.6.30 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (kernel memory corruption and crash) via a long packet. |
| Stack-based buffer overflow in the parse_tag_11_packet function in fs/ecryptfs/keystore.c in the eCryptfs subsystem in the Linux kernel before 2.6.30.4 allows local users to cause a denial of service (system crash) or possibly gain privileges via vectors involving a crafted eCryptfs file, related to not ensuring that the key signature length in a Tag 11 packet is compatible with the key signature buffer size. |
| The do_sigaltstack function in kernel/signal.c in Linux kernel 2.4 through 2.4.37 and 2.6 before 2.6.31-rc5, when running on 64-bit systems, does not clear certain padding bytes from a structure, which allows local users to obtain sensitive information from the kernel stack via the sigaltstack function. |
| Integer underflow in the e1000_clean_rx_irq function in drivers/net/e1000/e1000_main.c in the e1000 driver in the Linux kernel before 2.6.30-rc8, the e1000e driver in the Linux kernel, and Intel Wired Ethernet (aka e1000) before 7.5.5 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (panic) via a crafted frame size. |
| The C-Media PCI sound driver in Linux before 2.4.22 does not use the get_user function to access userspace in certain conditions, which crosses security boundaries and may facilitate the exploitation of vulnerabilities, a different vulnerability than CVE-2003-0699. |
| The do_mremap function for the mremap system call in Linux 2.2 to 2.2.25, 2.4 to 2.4.24, and 2.6 to 2.6.2, does not properly check the return value from the do_munmap function when the maximum number of VMA descriptors is exceeded, which allows local users to gain root privileges, a different vulnerability than CAN-2003-0985. |
| Integer overflow in the ubsec_keysetup function for Linux Broadcom 5820 cryptonet driver allows local users to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a negative add_dsa_buf_bytes variable, which leads to a buffer overflow. |
| In the Linux kernel through 6.9, an untrusted hypervisor can inject virtual interrupts 0 and 14 at any point in time and can trigger the SIGFPE signal handler in userspace applications. This affects AMD SEV-SNP and AMD SEV-ES. |
| bt_sock_recvmsg in net/bluetooth/af_bluetooth.c in the Linux kernel through 6.6.8 has a use-after-free because of a bt_sock_ioctl race condition. |
| Existing CommBuffer checks in SmmEntryPoint will not catch underflow when computing BufferSize. |
| NetworkPkg/IScsiDxe has remotely exploitable buffer overflows. |
| The Linux kernel, as used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, kernel-rt, and Enterprise MRG 2 and when booted with UEFI Secure Boot enabled, allows local users to bypass intended securelevel/secureboot restrictions by leveraging improper handling of secure_boot flag across kexec reboot. |
| Race condition in the kernel in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, kernel-rt and Red Hat Enterprise MRG 2, when the nfnetlink_log module is loaded, allows local users to cause a denial of service (panic) by creating netlink sockets. |
| The pit_ioport_read function in the Programmable Interval Timer (PIT) emulation in i8254.c in KVM 83 does not properly use the pit_state data structure, which allows guest OS users to cause a denial of service (host OS crash or hang) by attempting to read the /dev/port file. |
| NVIDIA GPU Driver for Windows and Linux contains a vulnerability in the kernel mode layer, where an unprivileged regular user can cause a NULL-pointer dereference, which may lead to denial of service. |
| NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Windows and Linux contains a vulnerability in the kernel mode layer, where a NULL-pointer dereference may lead to denial of service. |
