CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/mediatek: Fix ovl adaptor platform device leak
mtk_drm_probe() creates an OVL adaptor platform device with
platform_device_register_data() when the display pipeline requires the
OVL adaptor.
If a later initialization step fails, the probe error path releases
the DRM resources without unregistering the already registered OVL
adaptor device. The normal remove path likewise leaves the device
registered after the DRM driver is unbound.
Keep track of whether the OVL adaptor was successfully registered and
unregister it on probe failure. Also recover the platform device from
the stored DDP component device and unregister it during normal
removal.
The issue was identified by a static analysis tool I developed and
confirmed by manual review. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: nl80211: clean up color-change beacon data on errors
nl80211_color_change() calls nl80211_parse_beacon() for the beacon_next
template, which can allocate params.beacon_next.mbssid_ies and .rnr_ies.
A parsing failure returned directly instead of using the out: cleanup,
leaking any allocations completed before the error.
Allocate the nested attribute table before parsing beacon_next. Its
allocation failure can then return before beacon data exists, while a
later parsing failure uses out: to release the parsed data. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vsock: don't check the listener's sk_err in vsock_accept()
Syzbot reported an issue which can be reproduced with these steps:
r0 = socket(AF_VSOCK, SOCK_STREAM, 0)
bind(r0, {VMADDR_CID_ANY, PORT})
connect(r0, {VMADDR_CID_LOCAL, PORT}) -> -1, EPROTO (self-connect)
listen(r0, backlog) -> 0
r1 = socket(AF_VSOCK, SOCK_STREAM, 0)
connect(r1, {VMADDR_CID_LOCAL, PORT}) -> 0
accept(r0) -> -1, EPROTO (stale sk_err)
Basically, it creates a socket (r0) and triggers a self-connect after
binding it. This self-connect fails with EPROTO because it loops back
to r0 while the socket is still in the TCP_SYN_SENT state, causing it
to be incorrectly dispatched to the connecting-client path. The
unexpected packet type encountered there sets sk_err to EPROTO.
After that, it invokes a listen() call on the same socket. This
listen() call succeeds because the kernel's listening path never
inspects or clears sk_err. Then, a new socket (r1) is created as a
normal client and connects to r0. However, vsock_accept() rejects this
incoming connection because the listener's sk_err still holds the
EPROTO error from the earlier failed self-connect.
This rejection causes the child socket created for r1's connection to
never be freed on virtio or hyperv transports; only the VMCI transport
implements pending_work to revisit and clean up a rejected socket.
For a non-blocking connect(), vsock_connect() may return -EINPROGRESS
immediately, and vsock_connect_timeout() can later set sk->sk_err
asynchronously.
Since no vsock transport ever sets sk_err on a socket while it is in
TCP_LISTEN state, checking it in vsock_accept() serves no purpose and
only carries forward errors left behind by earlier, unrelated
connection attempts on the same socket. Remove the checks so accept()
no longer rejects valid incoming connections because of a stale
error, which also avoids the resource leak described above. |
| A vulnerability was found in Eleveo Quality Management 9.7.0. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file /enc-fwk-data/api/v3/conversations/<ID>/events of the component Conversation Handler. The manipulation of the argument labels results in denial of service. The attack can be executed remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| With its original introduction, GNTTAB_cache_flush was made available
uniformly. XSA-232 (CVE-2017-14318) then covered an omitted NULL
pointer check, yet the addition of that check failed to adjust the
subsequent error path. That error path fails to drop a page reference in
case the specified page is owned by a special system domain (DOM_IO and
DOM_COW are system domains which can have memory pages assigned to them.) |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: rt2x00: avoid full teardown before work setup in probe
rt2x00lib_probe_dev() uses the full rt2x00lib_remove_dev() teardown for
all probe failures. However, drv_data allocation and workqueue allocation
can fail before intf_work, autowakeup_work and sleep_work have been
initialized.
Do not enter the full remove path until the probe has reached the point
where those work items are set up. Return directly for drv_data allocation
failure, and use a small early cleanup path for workqueue allocation
failure.
This issue was found by our static analysis tool and then confirmed by
manual review of rt2x00lib_probe_dev() and rt2x00lib_remove_dev(). The
early probe exits should not call a common teardown path that assumes the
later work setup has already completed.
A QEMU PoC forced alloc_ordered_workqueue() to fail before the work
initializers are reached. The resulting fail path entered
rt2x00lib_remove_dev(), and DEBUG_OBJECTS reported invalid work drains with
rt2x00lib_probe_dev() and rt2x00lib_remove_dev() in the stack. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
sctp: close UDP tunnel sockets during netns teardown
proc_sctp_do_udp_port() starts per-net SCTP UDP tunneling sockets when
net.sctp.udp_port is set, and stops/restarts them when the sysctl value
changes. The netns exit path does not stop these sockets, so a namespace
can be torn down while its SCTP UDP tunnel sockets are still installed.
Close the UDP tunnel sockets from sctp_ctrlsock_exit() after unregistering
the per-net sysctl table. This prevents new sysctl writes from racing in
while the sockets are being released, and closes the sockets before the
control socket is destroyed. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
HID: wacom: stop hardware after post-start probe failures
wacom_parse_and_register() starts HID hardware before registering inputs
and initializing pad LEDs/remotes. Those later steps can fail, but their
error paths currently release Wacom resources without stopping the HID
hardware.
Route post-hid_hw_start() failures through hid_hw_stop() before
releasing driver resources.
This issue was identified during our ongoing static-analysis research while
reviewing kernel code. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
md/md-llbitmap: fix percpu_ref not resurrected on suspend timeout
When llbitmap_suspend_timeout() times out waiting for percpu_ref to
become zero, it returns -ETIMEDOUT without resurrecting the percpu_ref.
The caller (md_llbitmap_daemon_fn) then continues to the next page
without calling llbitmap_resume(), leaving the percpu_ref in a killed
state permanently.
Fix this by resurrecting the percpu_ref before returning the error,
ensuring the page control structure remains usable for subsequent
operations. |
| A security flaw has been discovered in sgl-project SGLang up to 0.5.19. Affected is the function WeightExporter.send_weights_to_remote_instance of the file python/sglang/srt/model_executor/model_runner_components/weight_exporter.py of the component Weight Exporter. Performing a manipulation of the argument group_name results in denial of service. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. The pull request to fix this issue awaits acceptance. |
| A vulnerability was identified in sgl-project SGLang up to 0.5.19. This impacts the function Scheduler.expert_distribution_handle of the file python/sglang/srt/eplb/expert_distribution.py of the component Expert-Distribution Recording Endpoint. Such manipulation leads to denial of service. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. The pull request to fix this issue awaits acceptance. |
| A weakness has been identified in MemTensor memmy-agent up to 1.0.9/1.1.1/1.2.2. The impacted element is the function requireAdminWrite of the file Memory/src/server/http.ts of the component Memory Service. This manipulation causes resource consumption. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The attack is considered to have high complexity. The exploitability is regarded as difficult. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. The exploit is partially overstated. While "POST /api/v1/admin/shutdown" accepts unauthenticated requests when no token is configured, it’s designed for local use and later received cross-origin fixes. Unauthenticated endpoint exposure is confirmed; browser-triggered DoS remains likely but depends on specific browser behavior. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nfc: trf7970a: power down on startup RX gain failure
trf7970a_startup() powers up the device before applying the optional RX
gain reduction. If the register read or write fails, it returns without
undoing that power-up. Probe's unwind only drops the separate regulator
references acquired by probe, leaving the additional VIN enable from
startup unbalanced. The system resume caller also has no power-down on
this error.
Call trf7970a_power_down() before returning the RX gain error to deassert
the enable GPIOs, release the startup VIN reference and restore the
powered-off state. Runtime PM has not been enabled yet, so the full
shutdown helper is not appropriate here. Preserve the original SPI error.
This issue was identified during our ongoing static-analysis research while
reviewing kernel code. |
| A vulnerability has been found in Calix GigaSpire 26.1.0. The affected element is an unknown function of the file traceroute.cmd. The manipulation leads to denial of service. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The presence of this vulnerability remains uncertain at this time. The vendor explains: "After reviewing the researcher's videos, we repeated the test using his described setup: the traceroute cancel request was sent while a second client was connected to the EWI. The second client remained connected and was not interrupted, and we did not observe a forced logout, session invalidation, or loss of EWI availability." |
| A flaw has been found in Calix GigaSpire 26.1.0. Impacted is an unknown function of the file utilities_configurationsave.cgi of the component Web Management Interface. Executing a manipulation of the argument sessionKey can lead to denial of service. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. The existence of this vulnerability is still disputed at present. The vendor explains: "We reproduced the reported request pattern. The observed delay results from expected input-timeout handling while the handler waits for input data. We did not observe a backend crash, resource exhaustion, service instability, or loss of EWI availability, and the interface remained accessible during and after testing." |
| A weakness has been identified in sgl-project SGLang up to 0.5.19. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown functionality of the file python/sglang/srt/managers/io_struct.py of the component generate Endpoint. This manipulation of the argument session_params causes denial of service. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. |
| ImageMagick before 7.1.2-32 contains a policy bypass vulnerability in the -script operation due to missing checks on file descriptor handling. Attackers can use the -script operation to close file descriptors not opened by the current operation, circumventing configured security policies. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
erofs: handle overlapped pclusters out of crafted images properly
syzbot reported a task hang issue due to a deadlock case where it is
waiting for the folio lock of a cached folio that will be used for
cache I/Os.
After looking into the crafted fuzzed image, I found it's formed with
several overlapped big pclusters as below:
Ext: logical offset | length : physical offset | length
0: 0.. 16384 | 16384 : 151552.. 167936 | 16384
1: 16384.. 32768 | 16384 : 155648.. 172032 | 16384
2: 32768.. 49152 | 16384 : 537223168.. 537239552 | 16384
...
Here, extent 0/1 are physically overlapped although it's entirely
_impossible_ for normal filesystem images generated by mkfs.
First, managed folios containing compressed data will be marked as
up-to-date and then unlocked immediately (unlike in-place folios) when
compressed I/Os are complete. If physical blocks are not submitted in
the incremental order, there should be separate BIOs to avoid dependency
issues. However, the current code mis-arranges z_erofs_fill_bio_vec()
and BIO submission which causes unexpected BIO waits.
Second, managed folios will be connected to their own pclusters for
efficient inter-queries. However, this is somewhat hard to implement
easily if overlapped big pclusters exist. Again, these only appear in
fuzzed images so let's simply fall back to temporary short-lived pages
for correctness.
Additionally, it justifies that referenced managed folios cannot be
truncated for now and reverts part of commit 2080ca1ed3e4 ("erofs: tidy
up `struct z_erofs_bvec`") for simplicity although it shouldn't be any
difference. |
| D-Bus before 1.15.6 sometimes allows unprivileged users to crash dbus-daemon. If a privileged user with control over the dbus-daemon is using the org.freedesktop.DBus.Monitoring interface to monitor message bus traffic, then an unprivileged user with the ability to connect to the same dbus-daemon can cause a dbus-daemon crash under some circumstances via an unreplyable message. When done on the well-known system bus, this is a denial-of-service vulnerability. The fixed versions are 1.12.28, 1.14.8, and 1.15.6. |
| A security vulnerability has been detected in sgl-project SGLang up to 0.5.19. Affected by this issue is the function Session.create_req of the file python/sglang/srt/session/session_controller.py of the component Session Cleanup. Such manipulation leads to denial of service. The attack may be performed from remote. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The pull request to fix this issue awaits acceptance. |
