| CVE-2026-94640 | 1 Redhat | 3 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openshift Container Platform | 2026-10-30 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in rpcbind. This vulnerability allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by sending a large number of unique requests. The rpcbind service records previously unseen RPC (Remote Procedure Call) statistics in unbounded in-memory lists, leading to persistent memory growth and increased CPU usage. This can degrade or exhaust service availability. | ||||
| CVE-2026-109411 | 2 Redhat, Samba | 3 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Samba | 2026-10-30 | 8.1 High |
| An access control bypass flaw was identified in Samba's vfs_ceph_rgw module in it's openat() function. An authenticated user can bypass access controls to read or overwrite restricted files on shares configured with the experimental vfs_ceph_rgw module. When a client requests an existing file using mismatched character casing, the module fails to perform a case-insensitive lookup correctly, causing the server to treat the operation as creating a new file. As a result, the server skips standard permission checks on the existing file, allowing the attacker to access or overwrite sensitive data owned by other users. | ||||
| CVE-2026-92574 | 2 Red Hat, Redhat | 5 Enterprise Linux, Confidential Compute Attestation, Enterprise Linux and 2 more | 2026-10-30 | 8.8 High |
| A vulnerability in CRI-O checkpoint restore allows a user who can create a pod from a malicious checkpointed container to bypass the destination Kubernetes security context. The restored process may retain credentials, Linux capabilities, no_new_privs, and seccomp state from the checkpoint instead of enforcing the destination configuration. This can allow execution with elevated privileges across the container security boundary. Affected upstream supported versions are CRI-O 1.34 and later. Downstream Red Hat products are affected from OCP 4.17 onward. Fixes have been applied to supported branches but are not yet released. Exploitation requires permission to create a pod from a malicious checkpoint image and checkpoint restore functionality to be available. | ||||
| CVE-2026-104795 | 1 Redhat | 1 Openshift | 2026-10-30 | 8.8 High |
| The insights-runtime-extractor runs as a privileged DaemonSet (`hostPID: true`) that scans container processes for runtime fingerprinting. When scanning a container, the coordinator: 1. **fork()s** a child process 2. **setns()** into the target container's PID and mount namespaces 3. **fchdir()** back to an orphaned FD pointing at the extractor's own root filesystem (where `/crio.sock` is hostPath-mounted) 4. Calls **only `seteuid(target_uid)`** — changing the effective UID but leaving the **real UID and saved-set-UID at 0** and **retaining the permitted capability set** 5. The `check_no_privileged_perms()` guard inspects only the Effective capability set (so it passes), and is **skipped entirely when the target runs as uid 0** 6. The `VersionExecutable` fingerprint invokes `fpr_kind_executable` with `process.command_line[0]` — the target's argv[0], read from `/proc/<pid>/cmdline` and **fully controlled by the workload** 7. `fpr_kind_executable` calls `exec.Command(executable, "--version").Output()` — executing the **workload's own binary** inside the workload's mount namespace while **ruid=0 in the host user namespace** The executed process can call `setuid(0)` to restore full root with `CAP_SYS_ADMIN`, and inherits the orphaned cwd which resolves into the extractor container's filesystem containing the host CRI-O socket. ## Affected Code ### 1. Insufficient privilege drop (Rust — extractor coordinator) **File:** `extractor/src/insights_runtime_extractor.rs` ```rust // Lines 139-146 — seteuid-only drop, guard skipped for root containers join_process_namespaces(process.pid)?; change_dir(current_dir); switch_user(*process.uid)?; if *process.uid != 0 { perms::check_no_privileged_perms() .expect("Must not have privileged permissions to run fingerprints"); } fingerprint::run_fingerprints(&config, out_dir, &process); ``` ```rust // Lines 182-185 — only effective UID changed; ruid/suid stay 0 fn switch_user(uid: u32) -> Result<(), ScannerError> { debug!("... Becoming user: {uid}"); seteuid(uid.into()).map_err(|e| ScannerError::Errno(e)) } ``` ### 2. Execution of untrusted binary (Go — fingerprint) **File:** `fingerprints/pkg/utils/file.go` ```go // Lines 75-80 — executes a path taken verbatim from workload's argv[0] func GetExecutableVersionOutput(executable string) (string, error) { out, err := exec.Command(executable, "--version").Output() if err != nil { return "", err } return string(out), nil } ``` ### 3. Workload-controlled path forwarded (Rust — version_executable) **File:** `version_executable.rs` ```rust // Lines 29-34 — workload-controlled command_line[0] forwarded to fingerprint return Some(vec![ fpr_kind_executable, out_dir.to_string(), String::from(&process.command_line[0]), String::from(&version_executable.runtime_kind_name), ]); ``` ## Attack Pattern **Attacker:** Any tenant able to schedule a pod (unprivileged, any namespace) **Victim:** The node running the insights-runtime-extractor DaemonSet **Trigger:** Automatic — the DaemonSet scans all container processes on the node **Attack sequence:** 1. Attacker creates a pod whose process name matches a configured versioned-executable pattern (`node`, `python`, `python3`, `MainThread`, or contains `java`) 2. The pod's main binary (at the path matching argv[0]) is a malicious executable that calls `setuid(0)` to restore root 3. When the insights operator triggers a scan, the DaemonSet forks, enters the attacker's mount namespace, and executes the attacker's binary with ruid=0 4. The attacker's code regains full root with `CAP_SYS_ADMIN` in the host user namespace 5. The inherited cwd contains the host CRI-O socket → full node compromise | ||||
| CVE-2026-93017 | 1 Redhat | 2 Openshift, Openshift Container Platform | 2026-10-30 | 7.7 High |
| The `insights-operator-gather` ClusterRole grants the operator's service account read access to secrets in the core API group with no namespace or resourceNames restriction — therefore, access to every secret in every namespace in the cluster. Ref: https://github.com/openshift/insights-operator/blob/8f15e3157ff09f54ab22801f5b21da35a195cc6d/manifests/03-clusterrole.yaml#L368-L373 ``` - apiGroups: - "" resources: - secrets verbs: - get - list ``` By spawning a pod with the gather service account mounted, an attacker will be able to access any secret in any namespace. ``` spec: serviceAccountName:"gather" ``` | ||||
| CVE-2026-83589 | 2 Oauth2 Proxy Project, Redhat | 2 Oauth2 Proxy, Openshift | 2026-10-30 | 6.1 Medium |
| A flaw was found in oauth-proxy. The application fails to properly validate the destination redirect parameter (`rd`) during post-login redirection. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by enticing a user to follow a specially crafted link, resulting in the user being redirected to an arbitrary external website after authenticating. This open redirect can be leveraged to conduct phishing attacks or credential theft. | ||||
| CVE-2026-75888 | 1 Redhat | 2 Openshift, Openshift Container Platform | 2026-10-30 | 7.7 High |
| A flaw was found in the OpenShift console. An authenticated console user can exploit a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability by providing a specially crafted Helm chart URL without proper validation. This allows the user to make the console pod fetch arbitrary URLs, potentially leading to the disclosure of sensitive information through error messages or enabling blind port scanning within the cluster. | ||||
| CVE-2026-49329 | 1 Redhat | 2 Openshift, Openshift Container Platform | 2026-10-30 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in openshift/oauth-server. The OAuth login and error page endpoints pass the unauthenticated Accept-Language header to golang.org/x/text/language.ParseAcceptLanguage() without input validation. A bypass of the CVE-2022-32149 mitigation exists: the upstream guard counts only '-' characters but the internal BCP 47 scanner aliases '_' to '-' after the guard check. An unauthenticated attacker can send a crafted Accept-Language header using '_' separators to trigger quadratic-time parsing, consuming excessive CPU and denying authentication to all cluster users. | ||||
| CVE-2026-15466 | 1 Imaginationtech | 1 Graphics Ddk | 2026-10-30 | N/A |
| Software installed and run as a non-privileged user may conduct improper GPU system calls to cause race condition in hardware performance counters buffer’s destruction path leading to read and/or write UAF. The race condition in the destruction path could lead to reference counter being decremented in non-atomical way allowing other code paths using a freed object to read and/or write kernel heap memory. | ||||
| CVE-2026-65584 | 1 Imaginationtech | 1 Graphics Ddk | 2026-10-30 | N/A |
| Software installed and run as a non-privileged user may conduct improper GPU system calls causing a stack overflow in the kernel. The overflow occurs when processing resolved Linux/Android fence synchronization checkpoints, while user checkpoints are excluded from the stack array. Successful exploitation can cause kernel memory corruption and typically results in a denial-of-service condition through a kernel crash. The code vulnerability is a buffer write beyond the allocated array on the stack caused by copying excessive data from an internal buffer. | ||||
| CVE-2026-65586 | 1 Imaginationtech | 1 Graphics Ddk | 2026-10-30 | N/A |
| Software installed and run as a non-privileged user may conduct improper GPU system calls to free memory in still in use, replace with another allocation and cause arbitrary memory reads or writes to physical memory pages. A memory buffer managed by a CPU thread of control (driver) and accessed by a GPU thread of control (firmware) can be freed while in use. Software installed and run as a non-privileged user may replace that buffer with another and replace a shared resource (memory page address list) managed by the CPU thread of control (driver) leading to the GPU accessing memory not managed by the CPU thread of control (driver). | ||||
| CVE-2026-65587 | 1 Imaginationtech | 1 Graphics Ddk | 2026-10-30 | N/A |
| A web page that contains unusual WebGPU content loaded into the GPU GLES render process can trigger an OOB write in the GPU user-space driver, leading to memory corruption and possible browser/GPU process crash. The software writes data past the end of an intended memory offset. Writing outside the bounds of allocated memory can corrupt adjacent memory, crash the process, or cause undefined behaviour. | ||||
| CVE-2026-18629 | 1 Imaginationtech | 1 Graphics Ddk | 2026-10-30 | N/A |
| A web page that contains unusual GPU shader code is loaded into the GPU compiler process and can lead memory allocation failure. If the allocation failure is not properly handled, the compiler may dereference a NULL pointer at a controlled offset, resulting in a crash of the compiler process. On certain platforms, when the compiler process has system privileges this could lead to crashes or enable further exploits on the device. The weakness results from performing arithmetic operations on values derived from the shader program without properly preventing integer overflow. The overflow can cause incorrect memory size calculations, leading to memory allocation failures and subsequent invalid program behaviour. Integer overflow can produce unexpected values that affect memory allocation and other security-relevant operations. | ||||
| CVE-2026-19199 | 1 Imaginationtech | 1 Graphics Ddk | 2026-10-30 | N/A |
| Software installed and run as a non-privileged user may conduct improper system calls to allocate physical memory. A 32-bit integer overflow in the KM driver during page-to-byte conversion of an allocation size can result in an undersized kernel buffer allocation. This may allow unallocated or previously allocated physical pages to be mapped into an attacker-controlled GPU MMU context, leading to disclosure of sensitive kernel data. | ||||
| CVE-2026-74912 | 1 Imaginationtech | 1 Graphics Ddk | 2026-10-30 | N/A |
| On GPU systems with the security vulnerability fix for CVE-2026-49746 applied, the mapping range of graphics buffers is limited which causes errors when the mapping outside of that range. Integer truncation caused when mapping GPU buffer pages in the buffer’s range 0GB - 4GB, produces error and limits the functionality of the kernel mode driver. | ||||
| CVE-2026-74915 | 1 Imaginationtech | 1 Graphics Ddk | 2026-10-30 | N/A |
| A web page that contains unusual WebGPU content loaded into the GPU GLES render process can trigger a OOB read and/or write crash in the GPU GLES user-space shared library. On certain platforms, when the process executing graphics workload has system privileges this could enable further exploits on the device. | ||||
| CVE-2026-118959 | 2 Red Hat, Redhat | 5 Red Hat Build Of Keycloak 26.4, Build Keycloak, Build Of Keycloak and 2 more | 2026-10-30 | 5.4 Medium |
| A flaw was found in the required action provider mechanism of Keycloak. The issue occurs when an authorization request includes the kc_action query parameter set to a mandatory action already assigned to the user, such as profile verification or terms and conditions. Due to incorrect handling of application-initiated actions, Keycloak may skip these mandatory challenges and issue an authorization code. This can allow a user to bypass administrative requirements and gain access to the application without completing necessary profile updates or agreeing to terms. | ||||
| CVE-2026-118599 | 1 Gnome | 1 Epiphany | 2026-10-30 | 5.5 Medium |
| A file overwrite vulnerability exists in Epiphany when installing WebExtension packages from .xpi files. In src/webextension/ephy-web-extension-manager.c, decompress_xpi_thread() used libarchive with archive_read_support_format_all() (and filters), so the installer did not require a real ZIP. A TAR file named *.xpi was extracted. TAR supports hard-link entry types; with Epiphany's archive_write_disk options (including ARCHIVE_EXTRACT_PERM), a crafted hard-link target can cause an attacker-chosen existing user-writable file to be truncated and overwritten with attacker-controlled content and mode bits, without a dedicated warning dialog, when the user installs or opens the crafted .xpi. This is related to but separate from the ZIP-slip path traversal fixed as CVE-2026-77679 (#2922 / MR !2143). Requirements: the victim must install or open a malicious WebExtension (.xpi). Affected: Epiphany >= 47.0 (WebExtension XPI install path). Fixed: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/epiphany/-/merge_requests/2248 (commit 0cc9ab55 — only enable ZIP format support). Upstream: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/epiphany/-/work_items/2988 Reporter acknowledgment: Fernando Munoz | ||||
| CVE-2026-43961 | 2 Redhat, Vim | 5 Enterprise Linux, Hummingbird, Openshift and 2 more | 2026-10-30 | 7.8 High |
| A flaw was found in Vim's netrw plugin. A crafted filename containing quote characters and expression fragments can break out of the quoted context during mark/unmark operations, allowing arbitrary Vimscript execution. This can be leveraged to run shell commands with the privileges of the user running Vim. | ||||
| CVE-2026-92982 | 1 Redhat | 10 Acm, Ansible Automation Platform, Container Native Virtualization and 7 more | 2026-10-30 | 8.5 High |
| A flaw was found in Ansible Operator Plugins. A low-privileged Kubernetes user can exploit a Jinja2 template injection vulnerability by crafting malicious custom resource (CR) specification values. These values are processed by Ansible without proper sanitization, allowing embedded Jinja2 expressions to be executed within the operator pod. This can lead to arbitrary code execution and privilege escalation, granting the attacker control over the operator's service account with cluster-wide permissions. | ||||
